Well, this report was on NFL Network, but ESPN eats it also, I suppose.

QB Eagles

Spew threw us a curveball and hid some actual useful information in his "On the Inside" BS:

QuoteTemple opens its home football season on Saturday, September 6 against Connecticut. I can't imagine that the NFL would then schedule the Eagles for their home opener the next day. So there are some possibilities: The Eagles could open Thursday night at the Giants, or host a Monday night game or head to the road -- again -- for a fourth straight game on the road to open the season.

Lame.  All they were saying is that his "pull" might be going away, because he asked for an offensive playmaker and hasn't gotten one yet.

That was based off an article, I believe by Hoffman... that talked about this.  I guess Westbrook, Dawkins and Runyan have no pull then either.

If they really had some pull, the Eagles would have FORCED the Cards to trade Fitzgerald to them and kidnapped Randy Moss in the middle of the night and changed his name to Kate.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

General_Failure

Intent is nice and all, but it means nothing until they can find a team to work out a trade with.

The man. The myth. The legend.

There might be 15-20 guys in the whole league that qualify as a "big-time" WR.  Who's left that might actually be attainable?

Lee Evans?
Anquan Boldin?

Seriously, it just seems like possible trade partners are very, very limited.

I just hope Bob Grotz from the Delco Times doesnt reveal his sources because I want to be surprised and psyched  at the same time when it happens

when it comes to wr with this team intent is more than 'nice and all'...i could have easily seen them not getting moss or fitzgerald and packing it in and trading lito for picks or a lineman or something...it of course doesnt guarantee anything but the fact that they still really want a wr says tons imo

big time were my words...i cant recall his exact words but lets just say they arent looking for a #3...they are looking for someone much better than than what they have and that doesnt take much

my same thoughts. Wing, you would bitch if we got Lee Evans? He had nobody on the opposite side if him and JP Losman throwing the ball. The Bills are a running team

ice grillin you

my problem with lee evans is consistency...he either gets 3 td's and 150 yards or two catches...that being said id take him in a heartbeat...at this point youre playing with house money as lito has to go and you got samuel...you could do a lot worse than to come away with lee evans
