After releasing three players Monday, the Bears made revised contract offers to Bernard Berrian, Tommie Harris, and Lance Briggs.
Special teamer Brendon Ayanbadejo also got an offer. Financial terms aren't available, but apparently the Bears aren't all the away asleep at the wheel. Each of the four players is represented by agent Drew Rosenhaus.

I cant see Briggs getting resigned because he will make some serious change on the FA market after the year he had. After losing Mushid Muhammed (sp?) they better hope Berrian signs because they will have no recievers

What happened to Muhammed?

This is a few days old but the Chiefs released John Welbourn last week.  Sports radio guys were really ripping the trade (3rd and 5th rounder) until they saw who the Eagles drafted with them.  Moats and Tapeh.

Dillen

Moats obviously blows, but I looked through who went after Tapeh in the 04 draft and I only came up with 5 guys who I'd rather have. 2004 late rounds sucked.

Sgt PSN

I think the Eagles have gotten decent value out of Tapeh as a 5th round pick.  He's an average/above average run and pass blocker and a decent reciever.

The Moats pick was a complete waste.  Basically, the Eagles used 2 third round picks on Westbrook.  One to draft him and one to resign him.

ice grillin you

tapeh blows...hes below average in everything....including life...

the eagles have this way of making people believe that no matter how bad a player is if you dont cut him and give him playing time that means he must be deserving....they do it all the time with undrafted free agents...tapeh is no different than one of those guys

Keyshawn Johnson told Yahoo! Sports that he is seriously considering a comeback.

"The challenge of helping to turn a team around, to help get it to the next level, that gets my competitive fires burning. I have the itch, and right now I'm trying to decide how strong that itch is," Johnson said. Bill Parcells has reportedly already offered Johnson a spot on the Dolphins, and the Titans and Raiders have also expressed interest in the past.

In Nicaragua, it appears the New England Patriots did beat Giants in Super Bowl

February 15, 2008
MANAGUA, Nicaragua (AP) -- The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl and ended the season with a perfect 19-0 record -- at least it looks that way in Nicaragua.

The NFL donated 290 Patriots hats and an equal number of team jerseys trumpeting the slogans "Super Bowl Champions, 19-0" to impoverished children from two small communities in southern Nicaragua.

Thursday's gifts could not change history -- the Patriots lost the Feb. 3 game to the New York Giants 17-14 -- but they made a lot of youngsters in the communities of San Gregorio and Buena Vista very happy, said Miriam Diaz, spokeswoman for the humanitarian organization World Vision, which arranged the donation with the NFL.

"They (Patriots) lost, but the children won," Diaz said.

The only "football" most of the children know is soccer, but they were very enthusiastic about the U.S. version of the game once the rules were explained to them, she said.

"They were very happy to receive the hats and jerseys," Diaz said. "They said they did not expect such a surprise."

Neither did the Patriots.

I still have an Eagles World Champions tee shirt I bought after the game outside the stadium for $5. Maybe I'll start wearing it if someone comes out with evidence of the patriots cheating in that game too.

You should rock this anyway. Fake championship shirts are the shtein.

The Falcons are reportedly gauging trade interest in CB DeAngelo Hall, who enters the final year of his contract in 2008.

You gotta respect the fact that they recognize how deep they are in rebuilding mode and are not afraid to lose popular players.
Shame they couldn't have done that with Vick...
