I am seriously stunned that people are blindly following this man. Did anyone here his speach tuesday night? He said absolutley nothing except a bunch of catch lines about change. Even this dumb ass video is all about we can we can Can what? he is part of the problem, his voting record is questionable (how many votes has he missed or just voted "present". It is just amazing that he gets away with saying nothing at all.  :o

Right, because he's not laid down ANY of his plans or anything at all. He's just all speak.  ::)

Your blind hatred for the man is misguided.

i actually agree with a lot of what phillymic said, and i'm still voting for obama.  but whatever, he's a breath of fresh air that this country needs and i feel like he's a little more in touch with what real working people need and want.  but as far as laying out his plans?  he hasn't done a whole lot of that except for his health care plan.  if i'm wrong about this, i'd be happy if someone would show me though, because i'd like to know what they are.

Hillary digs into her own pocket to add $5M to her campaign funds.  Meanwhile, Obama raises $7M+ in less than 2 days...

An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I have no "hatred" for this man, I've stated before if I knew his ideas, plans etc. I may vote for him, but his blanket "change", "we can", "it started as a whisper in Iowa", "a nation divided will fall" lines scare me. Like phatty said other then his healthcare plan (which I like better the Hilary's) I have not seen or heard. Basically I am concerned because no one is questioning him on his stances (other then the war) and no one is pressing him on his ideas, goals. Ir's down to him and Hilary, I would think he could open up a little on what he plans to do. The only explanation you can give me so far is a rolley eys's and claiming I hate him. Please if you know of ANY of his plans do tell.

Yes and no. We clearly went into the war with Iraq with a lack of substance, that hasn't worked out to well.

Start here.  I don't know how you expect to get meaningful information about his plans from news sound bytes.

It occurs to me that it's better NOT to outline grandiose plans for fear of not achieving them.  The country is a mess and it needs to be changed.

If someone is saying "I'll bring the best minds in the country together to attempt to solve our problems" that's better than hearing detailed plans of how to do it because the problems we have are so monumental, there's no easy answers or five point plans available to solve them.

Besides, with all her plans aligned does Hillary really believe she'll receive any help from the right if she gets elected?  She'll be stonewalled from the moment she takes the oath of office until the moment she leaves.   Obama, on the other hand, seems like the sort of facilitator who can create a coalition to get things done.

Thank you....I didn't think it needed to be spoonfed to anyone. Usually, if one wants to KNOW something, they research it. ;)

Phanatic

Well he has a blue print for change. Can be found here...

http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/ObamaBlueprintForChange.pdf

It's pretty extensive and there's no way he can accomplish half of this stuff as Congress has a say. I like his stances on government reform. Seems like he wants to abolish lobbyists and PACs altogether. Can't say that's a bad thing but I don't see the establishment allowing that either. Electing him will certainly make good theater.

Conservatives are stonewalling half of their own party let alone Obama. Unless the Dems control the House and Senate this country is headed for gridlock.

Gridlock is usually better for this country than people think.

I just wish I could go to the poles and vote for "None of The Above".  If none of the above got 50% or more of the vote these candidates are gone and a new set bullshteiners gets voted on a month or two later.  Thats would end a lot of BS and gridlock IMO  Oh and have a mechanism for some type of recall election if they act like what we have now :yay
