QuoteTakeo Spikes was on 610 WIP and when discussing improving for next season Spikes said he was talking to Chad Johnson last week(ex-teammates) and Chad Johnson asked Spikes what it would take to get Chad in Philly. Spikes said he doesn't know he's not GM, but he said he'd love to have Chad here.

Wow, that sounds like he specifically wants to come to Philly. WR is the only position I would over pay for. I'd give up the first round pick for either him or Roy Williams. He just signed a 6 year contract for '06 but I'm sure Rosenhaus will push for a new contract if Johnson is traded. His current contract would actually be fairly team friendly to receive.

It's T.O. all over again.

Too bad Donny isn't going to the Pro Bowl so they can make kissy faces at each other.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

i hate the comparisons between chad johnson and TO.  they are nothing alike.  the only thing they have in common is their TD celebrations.  chad johnson does not cause problems.

chad johnson does not cause problems.

Except for occasional screaming outbursts against his QB and coaches, and the whole begging to be traded thing. Yep, nothing like TO.

I like Johnson, I would love him on the Eagles, and no I don't think he's another TO. But to claim they're "nothing alike"... well that's going a bit too far.

Sgt PSN

Big thing about Johnson is that while he does have the occasional outburst on the sideline with his QB and/or coaches, he's never thrown a teammate under the bus like TO did.

I don't have a problem when a reciever gets pissed off because the ball isn't going his way.  Recievers should be pissed about that.  By nature, recievers are/should be greedy and want every pass thrown their way.  Especially recievers like Johnson who have the ability to make the catch even when a defender has great position on him.

Hugely speculative rumor not mentioned or discussed yet?

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Donté Stallworth could come back to the Philadelphia Eagles after he wins a Super Bowl ring with New England.

Stallworth is due a monstrous bonus in February, one the Patriots likely won't pay because they will have to spend money to keep Randy Moss.

Stallworth qualifies as a playmaker and probably one who would be acceptable to the Eagles' high-maintenance quarterback, Donovan  McNabb.

Stallworth and Curtis as the wideouts sounds good to me, that's a lot of speed to account for.

Seabiscuit36

I'd take a combo of Stallworth and Curtis in a heartbeat, add in ocho cinco....awww yeah

I'd take Stallworth back, didnt want him to leave the first time.

McNabb high maintenance? Ha.
