Obama cuts through the shtein again

How can you not like the way he conducts himself?

QuoteObama began by recalling a moment in Tuesday night's debate when he and his rivals were asked to name their biggest weakness. Obama answered first, saying he has a messy desk and needs help managing paperwork - something his opponents have since used to suggest he's not up to managing the country. Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards said his biggest weakness is that he has a powerful response to seeing pain in others, and Clinton said she gets impatient to bring change to America.

"Because I'm an ordinary person, I thought that they meant, 'What's your biggest weakness?'" Obama said to laughter from a packed house at Rancho High School. "If I had gone last I would have known what the game was. And then I could have said, 'Well, ya know, I like to help old ladies across the street. Sometimes they don't want to be helped. It's terrible.'"

I not to impressed with any of these guys (including clinton) but it stuns me to see the blind trust some people are putting into Obama. What does he stand for, change? ok what kind of changes? His voting record or lack of voting is alarming. I hope he does get the Dem's nod for the race, then maybe he will fill everybody in on what he would actually do when it is one on one with a repub. I hope he does have a good plan for change, Washington needs it, and if he can communicate it, he could probably grab some iffy repub  :paranoid votes.

Who's trusting anyone, and who really cares what the plan is as of right now?

I'm just glad he's obviously not an idiot and still actually believes in greatness for America.  Hillary's ok with the status quo, as are most of the Republicans.  We need drastic measures to fix a lot of broken shtein, and Obama's wise for not assuming what he says now will be applicable in a year when the new President actually takes office.

What is not going to be applicable in a year? Drastic changes are needed I agree 100% but he is not giving us any indication of what he will change, and that worries me a little bit.

How specific do you want him to get, and what specifics are you seeing from other candidates that seem more detailed than Obama's?

Thank you.

I'm so sick of hearing this crap from Obama detractors..."He isn't specific enough" blah blah blah.

Other than Huckabee's outrageous and terrifying specifics, I see no real detailed changes from ANYONE.

Giuliani's got a specific trickle-down economics plan to cut corporate taxes, amongst others.

Specifics aren't always a good thing.

His new rallying call is "Reagan!"

I heard a right wingnut saying that US corporate taxes are the highest in the world. That can't be right. I gotta think that socialist European countries are much higher. If it is the highest then maybe they should be cut.

I am not a Obama detractor, I've said in past posts that I would/could be swayed from a typical conservative vote if I knew some specific's.

I don't care about the "others" (lost starts in 13 days :yay) I know they don't stand for change, but when somebody runs on the change platform, It interests me and I want to know more of what they are planning to do. I would have thought he would be more open.

How delightfully non-committal!
