Im perfectly aware of what Juno was supposed to be...a comedy drama. When you see a movie that is hyped up with 4 stars written all over it, A-'s A+'s....you expect a solid movie that keeps you "entertained" throughout.

I wasnt expecting to be punching my wife in the arm with laughter, but it has to and should at least live up to the hype.

Oh yeah, I also watched The Simpsons Movie yesterday. I laughed a lot at the beginning, then not as much in the middle, then some more towards the end. It was basically a little better than your average Simpsons episode. I'll rewatch it definitely.

This reminds me of other holiday movies watched:

"Simpsons Movie" - I somewhat agree with rjs, except for the fact it seemed to be slightly worse than an average Simpsons episode.  Then again, I haven't been watching new episodes for 2 or 3 years at this point, and the show has been steadily declining... so my basis of comparison is higher.  C- out of 5.

"Live Free or Die Hard" - Ridiculously formulaic to the point that it almost ruined the original for me.  But it didn't, because the original still kicks ass.  Mary Elizabeth Winstead is kind of hot.  Maggie Q is hotter.  While the action was over-the-top, I still couldn't help but enjoy the movie.  3/5.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" - I really enjoyed the first one and felt cheated by the 2nd one.  The third was somewhere in between but was a fitting close for the series.  While it runs over 2 1/2 hours, it kept my attention the whole time and was good fun.  Geoffrey Rush is the shtein and actually stole scenes every bit as much as Depp.  Also 3/5.

no, not all. if you look at some of the characters in the movie, who play in comedies--you might think there would of been a bit more laughter for the ratings. And yes, its characterized as a comedy, so I expect laughter--a bit more because of the ratings it got. I wasnt looking for a Something About Mary or Knocked Up type comedy.

Beatin a dead horse here. Go see the flick. Im not here to divert your attempt.

Walk Hard-- found myself dozing off a couple of times with waking up to some good laughs. There are some nice liners in this movie that will have you think its worth seeing, but then they stretch it big time. I could of done without
I saw the preview of this, and immediately I thought it would be one of the dumbest movies ever made. Chopped your brother in half? And that's a big part of the movie? F.

I agree with Dillen. The previews look absolutely farging unbearable but everyone seems to think that it's hysterical, so maybe I'm just missing something.

Sweeney Todd- actually kind of awesome. the whole singing thing gets annoying, but visually its ridiculous. also the girl who plays johnny depps daughter has glorious cans. shes supposed to be 15 in the movie, but shes 20 in real life. so look and enjoy, gents.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'm excited about Sweeney Todd. So there's that.

depp cuts a bunch of people necks, so its really bloody. that evens out the gayness of singing.
