I would cry blood if the Eagles tried to cram Greggie/Avant/Baskett down our throats again.  Seriously.

Now I'm rooting for that to happen.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Lewis ended up making more plays than Baskett and Avant combined this year.  Considering how unlikely it is that the Eagles would actually get rid of all three of them, Greg has probably earned another season**.

Go team.

**unless they can trade him to the Vikings

The birds need a top flight WR. But stallworth isn't even close to that.

I was picking out a halloween costume the last time he scored a TD...on an offense that just set a regular season record for passing TDs in a season. Stallworth is not all that good.

QB Eagles

The fat man speaks

QuoteAbout 17 hours into an offseason that began much sooner than he would have liked, Andy Reid made it clear Monday that he expects more out of the Eagles in 2008.

...

Individually, he singled out players like Reggie Brown, Brodrick Bunkley, Takeo Spikes, J.R. Reed, Quintin Mikell, Jon Dorenbos and Sav Rocca for improvements throughout the course of the year.

What, cause Brown graduated from 1 and 2-catch games at the beginning of the year to 4 and 5-catch games near the end? Give the guy a farging medal.

Quote"There are quite a few things we need to address this offseason."

At least he's not pulling that "we're very close" bullshtein again. But it's been a while since I've seen the team address "quite a few things" adequately during the offseason. We'll see.

the eagles love making other teams #3s into #1s!

well not making but hoping.

anyway i would agree with stallworth if it was to be guranteed that mcnabb could reproduce the #s the offense put up with stallworth in 06 (pre injury)...other wise we need more of a sure thing.

while i still think Stallworth is better than Curtis, having them both on the team seems redundant.

while i dont think stallworth is a #1 i think he would make all the other wr's better and he brings to the table exactly what the offense needs

the difference in the way the offense operated this year vs last was clear as day

they had no down the field game whatsoever this year...outside of the detroit fluke

I think that has more to do with the subpar QB play this year than the WRs.

This can't be stated enough:

Donovan played much better as his knee started to shure up this season.  I don't know about 2009 and beyond, but I want him quarterbacking the Eagles in 2008.

MadMarchHare

As do I, I've said for 3 months I expect they'll fire the wrong guy.

Maybe Donovan will have a better fan club in his new town.  The fact that he got booed for that interception yesterday was a bit excessive, IMO.  It was a stupid throw, but he played pretty well considering the trash he has to throw at.
Anyone but Reid.

rjs246

For the millionth time. Anyone with a brain knows that Donovan is a good QB. It's the Donovan/Andy Reid combo platter that needs to be split up.

Alright, then.  Who's going to take out Andy Reid.

Maybe we can do it like the Orient Express.  We can all stab him once, and make it harder to CSI.

It would be better if we used a syringe to inject him with some sort of poison and framed it on Garrett or Britt.  Of course, we'd have to wait until one of them gets out of jail.

To Curtis' credit though, he does know how to recover a fumble in the endzone better than anyone I've ever seen.

Freddie Mitchell wasn't too shabby either

Get Walker?

Javon Walker: Broncos are "not for me"
By Bill Williamson The Denver Post
Article Last Updated: 12/31/2007 11:11:42 AM MST

Javon Walker dropped the first bomb of the Broncos' offseason this morning.

In a rambling briefing with the press, Walker essentially said he longer wants to be with the Broncos.

"It's not for Javon," Walker said. "It's not for me."

Walker bounced and back and forth and said that he'll do whatever the Broncos decide but he concluded by saying that being here is not for him.

Walker even suggested a return to Green Bay. The Broncos acquired him from the Packers in April 2006 for a second round draft choice.

Walker was unhappy with the Packers when he was dealt.

Walker missed seven games this season with a knee injury and second-year player Brandon Marshall flourished, catching 1002 balls.

Walker has $5.4 million in option bonus money coming to him this year and the team was planning on keeping him. However, after his bombshell, the team will likely seriously consider parting ways.
