SEAHAWKS to JAGUARS (Alvin Pearman)

The Eagles should also get 3 or 4 compensatory picks for losing Stallworth, Hood, Michael Lewis, Garcia, etc.

rjs246

Ah, I had forgotten about Garcia.

So the eagles have this:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, plus potential Stallworth, Hood, Garcia, Lewis compensation (minus Curtis) in 2008.

And then an extra 6th rounder in 2009.

Thanks Ed.

i would love rivers jackson or baker....but jackson is my dream pick...not only will it fill two spots but wr is really weak this year and if you dont get one in the first round you really are taking your chances in getting an impact guy

Watching Westbrook's punt return on Sunday was an all-too-rare feeling.

The Eagles absolutely need an impact guy on returns.  I'm on the DeSean Jackson bandwagon.

I agree with the rest of your post but Rivers is a joke. He's one of the most overhyped players I have ever seen. People have acted as if he'll be a top 15 pick since his sophomore year. 3 career sacks. 4 FF. 2 interceptions. 15 TFL. In 48 games. Don't the Eagles have enough defensive players that don't produce shtein? farg Keith Rivers.

I think think that package could be a net value of a couple of 4s and maybe a 5th as comp picks. When you add in the extra 5th they already have, that's not too shabby. That's up to four extra day 2 picks that will never see opening day.

rjs246

I honestly want them to trade every one of their non-compensation fourth-round-or-later picks. I don't care what they get in return, I just can't handle another season of listening to the front office shteinheads try to sell everyone on the slow white safety they 'stole' in the 5th round.

no they need to keep as many picks as possible....this pp dept needs the largest margin for error they can get...what they need to do is change their philosophy and start taking athletic guys who may not have the "intangibles" to play in the nfl vs unathletic players who are good mormons....

if im gonna miss on a player i wanna miss on sinorice moss not sean considine...and even more than that if im gonna hit on a pick i wanna hit on the thru the roof guy...i wanna trent cole type not a victor abiamiri

Is that Arizona CB any good?

http://www.arizonaathletics.com/football/playerbio.aspx?id=5266

saw alot of Arizona football out here this year.  Antoine Cason.  He looked good all season.  6-0 185.

I completely agree with you, except for the fact that this group of monkeys is NEVER going to change their philosophy. If they bring in new monkeys to do the scouting/drafting, then maybe I'll agree that they should keep the picks. Until then, I'd rather have them trade them for one or more NFL-tested players. Known commodities. I don't want them to go all Danny boy on the situation, but they obviously can't draft for shtein anymore...

except you arent getting an nfl starter type player for day two picks...id rather them have ten picks on day two and use a couple of them for players they wouldnt normally take...the less picks they have the less chances they will take

lets face it day two picks are suspect for any team for the eagles even more so

Randy Moss. I know it's a singular example, but players move teams for day two picks all the time.

special case and an exception to the rule...most of the time youre getting artis hicks

btw if randy moss had gone to almost any other team but the patriots wed be laughing at that trade....can you imagine him in philly this year....u-g-l-y

But he didn't go to any other team. I mean, isn't that the risk that is run for every trade? That it will fail or succeed?

Anyway, I see what you're saying but watching this team release 7 drafted players next year might make my brain explode.
