late night shows are off and stars cant go around promoting movies. things are going to go into reruns/off the air, which means less people will be watching, which means less people will now of movies coming out. were 2 weeks away from black friday, a month and a half from christmas, this is gonna hurt every business and especially hollywood.

now its the trickle down effects to actual movies getting made wont be felt for a while, but it aint good kiddies.

What does christmas and black friday have to do with not being able to see a new episode of the office?

another factor in this is the directors, producers and actors guild contracts all up next year, and if the bosses cave in to the writers of their demands, theyll have to do the same to the other guys. so this thing is just gonna drag on and people who like watching tv and movies and dont pay attention to this bullshtein are gonna get farged. again.

thats not what he was saying he was trying to link christmas shopping and going out to see the movies...like the retail business is gonna take a big hit because people arent going to the mall to watch movies thus they wont x-mas shop...which is preposterous

who gives a flying farg about the movie or tv business...if anything a strike will help because if the studios take a bang thats less big budget special effects driven movies that may come out...which is a very good thing
