not until we're married, skippy
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Johnny Cakes:

No, reported Larry will do at least 2 more seasons.

Ms. Hentz:

Probably in January, but all 7 episodes are done and shot.

Thanks, Orodenker.

So what will they have to pull numberswise to get a third season? What night/slot will they be on?

MDS

#2012
Their spot is completely up in the air considering the strike. Mondays and Thursdays are doubtful, so are Sundays. Probably want to avoid Fridays because its a dead night, so somewhere on Tuesdays or Wednesday. Maybe the old 8 p.m. slot.

Numbers wise, they probably need to do a little bit better than last year to get in. Considering they might not have all that much competition and they have some good buzz going and will probably get football playoff promotion...they could be good. But it is a serialized show. And audience bumps to serialized shows are normally temporary because people check out the show for the first time and have no idea what's going on (see Lost after they won the Emmy, had huge numbers for the first few weeks, then it tapered off because new viewers were confused). But since it's just a seven episode season, the bump may be enough to make the numbers look good.

So we'll see. What I do know is that season 2 picks up after the Jericho/New Burn war and that they shot both a cliffhanger end and concluding end. So if the show tanks, we will at least get some kind of resolution.

Last night's Dexter was awesome.

*** SPOILER ALERT ***

I thought for sure that it had to be the season finale with all the bits leading up to a Dexter arrest or at least ID on him as the killer.  Doaks finding the blood, the car from the impound lot, and that freak Lila setting him up.  What an awesome show this has turned out to be....

Agree.  This has been an awesome couple of weeks.  I can't wait to see next week's episode.

I went into this season without high expectations, figuring they couldn't top season 1. But this season has been as good as anything on tv save for The Wire. Even Keith Carradine's ass doesn't bring it down.

That was a low point this week.  I was hoping to see Sis topless, just to see if she has scars where her tits should be.

The writers strike is hitting everyone hard.

Exhibit A:  American Gladiators is coming back.  On a major network.  In prime time.

Father Demon

Yeah, that's awesome news.  I'm scheduled to be in the 4th episode, sporting my platinum long hair and my old wrestling unitard.

QuoteHasselhoff in Talks for NBC's 'Knight'

David Hasselhoff is in talks to appear on NBC's upcoming revival of the '80s TV series Knight Rider. He would reprise his role as Michael Knight in the TV movie pilot, which will focus on Knight's son, Mike Tracer, played by Justin Bruening (All My Children). In other Knight Rider casting news, Deanna Russo (The Young & the Restless) has been cast as the female lead, Sarah Kamen. Sarah is Mike's childhood friend and one-time lover who offers to bail him out of a gambling debt in exchange for his help finding her father, Charles Kamen, the genius inventor of the talking car KITT who has gone missing. Steve Shill (Spike TV's Kill Point) will direct the telepic pilot, set to air later this season, which could lead to a new Knight Rider series, if it does well.

QuoteThree Cast for 'Knight Rider' Pilot

Bruce Davison (CBS' Close to Home), Wayne Kasserman (Spike's The Kill Point), and Greg Ellis (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Beowulf) have been cast in NBC's two-hour movie/backdoor pilot Knight Rider. The movie centers on Mike Tracer (Justin Bruening), Michael Knight's son he never knew he had. David Hasshelhoff, who played Michael Knight in NBC's original 1980s TV series, will reprise his role for the movie. The story follows Tracer, recruited by his childhood best friend, Sarah Graiman (Deanna Russo), and her physicist father, Charles (Davison), as he joins the Knight Foundation, a group committed to mitigating damage done by private, covert military contractors. To help them achieve their goals, Charles creates a second-generation talking KITT car, which a shady millionaire tries to steal. Ellis will play one of the villains. Kasserman plays Tracer's race car driver roommate and friend who joins the Knight Rider team. NBC plans on airing the telepic/pilot later this season, and if successful, the network could have a new Knight Rider series on the air soon as next fall.
