I'm going to this Octoberfest Hof Brau tonight and people are dressing up like Knight Rider and listening to David Hasselhoff music all night.

QuoteWe understand why Germans love Oktoberfest: Endless giant mugs of beer, piles of bratwurst, drunken singing. We don't understand the country's love affair with David Hasselhoff, though, especially after seeing poorly dubbed episodes of "Baywatch" and hearing the Hoff's sketchy (and slightly predatory) single "Jump in My Car," in which the former Michael Knight tries to lure ladies into his sports car despite their protestations, and then kicks them to the curb when he finds out where they live. (The video, which features the Hoff sending up his "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider" characters, redeems the song somewhat.) Anyway, back to Oktoberfest and the Hoff. Rustico is bringing back its Don't Hassel the Hof Brau party, which honors Munich's famous Hofbrau Oktoberfest beer as well as David Hasselhoff and Halloween. The restaurant will give away cool Hofbrau mugs with every beer purchased, and guests are encouraged to come in costume. We. Can't. Wait.

Stone Brewing Pale Ale $9.99
An American Pale Ale brewed by Stone Brewing Co., Escondido, California

Almost forgot about updating this:

159. Birra Moretti (Imported from Italy) - D.  Pretty lame taste.
160. Denver Pale Ale (Great Divide Brewing Co) - B-
161. Titan IPA (Great Divide Brewing Co) - A-. A very good IPA, but I say that about almost all IPA's.
162. Harpoon IPA - I don't remember drinking this. I'm sure it was tasty though.
163. Lord Chesterfield Ale - C-
164. Smithwick - D+
165. Old Dominion Ale
166. Old Dominion Pale Ale
167. Old Dominion Tuppers Hop Pocket Ale - The best of the OD brews, with Great American coming in a close second.
168. Old Dominion Great American Pale Ale
169. Old Dominion New River pale Ale
170. Summit Extra Pale Ale - B. This was OK.  Brewed in St. Paul, and all the Minnesotans were bragging on it.
171. Summit India pale Ale - B.  Same.

43 beers to go.  62 days left in the year.  Time to start cranking.

I lost count back a long while ago, but have to give Demon some props.  I ended up finding Stone Brew here in MD.  My liquor store is the first place in MD to offer it.  Love the Arrogant bastich ale(my brother brought some up to the bears tailgate) and the IPA which is super hoppy.  The liquor store up the street i found specializes in beer growlers and they bring in a new keg of something all the time.  2 weeks ago is was the Stone, right now they have Sierra Nevada Celebration which is a treat onto itself.

172. Grolsch - not going to grade it, but now one of my favorite memories
173. Michelob Marzen - B

175. New Belgium's 2 Below - B+ - I like all of NB's beers, and this is pretty decent
176. Michelob Bavarian-Style Wheat - A- - I'm digging the new Mich micros -- if you can taste them, I recommend them.
177. Michelob Pale Ale - B
178. Michelob Porter - B+
179. Red Fox Amber Ale - C - pretty bland, and quite average
180. Warsteiner Dunkel - B- - maybe I was expecting something different, but this was a "lively" taste
181. Keystone Light - D-
182. Natural Light - D-
183. Steel Reserve 211 - D+ - only because it was the best of the last three.  I need some good beer.
