Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

sources have told the Courier Times that the Phils intend to stick with Manuel beyond 2007. If that's the case, there could be a potential hang-up: the length of that potential extension.

Rightfully so, Manuel surely will ask for at least two more years, but team insiders suggest Gillick will prefer giving him only one year because his contract runs out after the 2008 season. That way, if Gillick leaves after '08, his replacement could change managers if he so chooses.

Time to re-enact the Ed Wade must go philosophy towards the Phils, no money will get spent towards the phils until Cholly's ass is gone for me.

the most infuriating thing about that article is the fact that a new gm couldnt hire his own manager cause the current phillies manager would have a whole ONE year left on his deal

is that the most pathetic ridiclous wanna punch someone in the face thing youve ever read

Why anyone, ever...expects this organization to change, is really baffling.

its sad but true, they just dont care, the only option for change would be the team is sold to Croce and Cuban

id spend the money on pitching and pitching only. who gives a shtein about 1 of position and 3b. they are winning with nonsense greg dobbs and jayson werth. its farging pitching, pitching, pitching. and not zesty adam eaton pitching, good pitching.

Forget it.  Free agent pitchers will NOT come to Philly unless they're the Eaton type.

The Phillies made their bed with that ridiculous ballpark and now they're going to have to sleep in it.  They need as much offense as is humanly possible and they need to develop pitching in the minor leagues.  Period.

What self-respecting pitcher would ever want to play at the bank? It will KILL their numbers and therefore their ability to secure an absurd contract when they leave.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Well they've clearly given up, along with everyone else.

They had close to 39,000 in attendance last night so the Phillies ownership couldn't care less.

The Marlins are 5-17 in their last 22 games.

They are 3-1 against the Phillies in that stretch.

They are 2-16 against everybody else.
