I wonder if Lohse is a pilot?

:-D

Lohse is an oddball.

Here is his game log:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/gamelog?playerId=4789

By my count, he has 7 quality to average starts, 6 horrible starts, and 6 terrific starts. So he's got about a 66% chance of keeping the team in the game. Is that an improvement over The Real Deal? Better than Beaton? Probably.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

So far 2 for 2 for the Phils. Rumor has it that the Phils are going to try and add a bullpen arm before the deadline, so let's hope that they don't single handedly ruin two good trades with their next move.

PhillyPhreak54

He's garbage.

But they didn't give up much, so like I said before if they acquire guys without giving up much, I'm cool. But he's trash.

And Eckel was pimping this dude, so when he bombs it will be funny to hear him explain.

PhillyPhreak54

Probably.

And Durbin > Condrey as the long guy in the pen

SD_Eagle5

To be honest Condrey hasn't been that bad as the long guy this year. Durbin already stated he doesn't want to come out of the pen, I know he has no choice but guys who aren't open to becoming long/middle relievers usually suck ass. Not to mention Durbin sucked the few times he came out of the pen.

SunMo

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Eaglez

Sure, these aren't earth-shattering trades but as long as they keep on not giving up much and getting some guys with experience down the stretch I think it is a decent move.

Yeah, I don't think Durbin is willing to come out of the pen. Hopefully Clay continues to pitch well and maybe Geary picks it up too. His stats were pretty impressive in his latest stint in the minors.

Oh no, I'm falling for it again... I'm getting excited about the home stretch.  :paranoid

A lot of philly fans tonight. My sister in law was on the way down town for a day out with her kids, she calls me and my 8 yr. old niece asks me why there are so many phillie fans on the train with her. I explained to whole phillies cubs thing and told her to do an Eagles cheer for them. My sis in law calls back 20 mins. later and said she was the hit of the upper deck when she belted out E A G L E S EAGLES!!! I can't wait for tomorrow night!

we really need a support group, after the next flop I am going to need some serious help.

Geowhizzer

Bourn's hurt.  He tripped over the pitcher's mound in right field chasing a foul ball.  Not a doctor, but it looks like he hurt his left ankle.

Thankfully it doesn't look as serious as I first thought.  He looked to be in a lot of pain.

He's staying in the game.

Victorino already left the game limping

Now Bourn trips on the f'ing foul line and twists an ankle on the bullpen mound and doesn't get up for 3 minutes  :-D

what the f**k did we do to deserve this?

He got up and jogged around so maybe he's OK.  He's still out there...
