That means I don't want him on this team or anywhere other than the taterskins' sideline.

That's the worst idea you've had since bottled AIDS. Man, if Gibbs could coach him up and touch his knees he'd ben un-freaking-stoppable. Idiot.

The man. The myth. The legend.

i cant believe people are arguing about bucks blitz picking up abaility...as if that has any bearing on whether a back makes this team..if andy cared about that at all he wouldnt run 15 empty backfield sets a game....send his rb out of the backfield another 25 times and hed have a te on the roster who could block

bucks blocking ability is a non starter

PoopyfaceMcGee

You're right... it's probably the biggest reason he's not a starter.  Good point.

not really a good one...just a blatantly obvious one

Okay...At least some acknowledge he made strides as a blocker. As far as why were talking about a RB blocking, it's because that is one of the biggest reasons you don't see Moats on the field as often. I'm not on Buck's tip yo....I just appreciate his dedication in trying to recover from those injuries.  Oh, by the way....I also believe Buck is still the fastest or 2nd fastes RB on the roster, even though he has NO knee ligaments left.....what's that say about the Eagle's front office?

What the farg?

:-D

End yourself.

Munson

Westbrook
Buckhalter
Hunt
Ilaoa
Moats

Make Hunt or Ilaoa learn FB.

Tapeh isn't anything special so I wouldn't mind those 5. You could switch out Moats for Tapeh though. With Hunt and Ilaoa possibly making the team, they don't have to keep Moats around another year.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Dillen

Tapeh was really good this year, especially for his first year. I really dont think Ilaoa is the lock everyone hopes he is. Practice squad this year, atleast. Then hopefully they find a good trade partner for Moats, making room for him.

If either of them had the right mindset, they could do it.

Either way, Westbrook, Buckhalter, and Hunt are all locks.

That means they probably keep 2 of Tapeh, Ilaoa, and Moats. If Buckhalter's knees don't make it through camp, they keep all three.

So take your pick.

Will they carry 4 RB's? Moats has to be gone unless there's an injury.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Buck can fly.  He used his signing bonus to buy a Rascal scooter retrofitted with a V8 hemi.

That's what I'm thinkin. The most likely case is Westbrook, Buckhalter, Hunt, Tapeh, and one of either Moats or Ilaoa. If Ilaoa can make ANY type of impact on special teams, I think he becomes a lock and Moats is gone. Reid's been keeping 5 in the backfield, but one of those 5 has been Mahe because he "contributes" on special teams. If neither Moats or Ilaoa can show they can do something on special teams, then maybe they both are gone. Or at least PS for Ilaoa. I'm just saying I wouldn't mind if they kept all 5 of those guys and cut Tapeh. But they'd have to still be REALLY high on Moats to do that.

No chance they cut Tapeh.  If they do that then they're relying on a rookie who played HB in college, either Hunt or Ilaoa, to play FB (unless they sign someone).  I think they keep Westbrook, Buck, Hunt, Tapeh, and Ilaoa.

I think the original intent behind drafting Moats was that he could turn into the next Westbrook and they could use this to play hardball with Westbrook's contract negotiations.  Not only has Moats not proven himself capable of doing this, but Westbrook has significantly increased his value even further over the last couple of years.  With Westbrook having firmly solidified his spot in the team's future plans, there's little reason to keep Moats around.
