Tim Daly is the same freaking character in everything. I was a little surprised, but I'm glad he's gone.

The past few episodes were about Tony's alienating himself from everyone around him. This episode had a tone of self-destruction through it. Pretty interesting, but not as violent as it could have been. But at least there was lots of .

Rome

Now I know why I haven't watched the show regularly in several years.

A recap:

Chris whining that no one respects and loves him, A.J. being a little bitch, Paulie screwing over a member of his own family, Carmella worrying about A.J., and Tony pissing and moaning about being in therapy.  Good God... it might as well be five years ago with that shtein.

Meadow is still hot, though, so that's something.

Otherwise...

ice grillin you

not great but probably the best show of the season

the christopher stuff seems forced

even when the show is good does anyone find themselves watching and just wanting the final episode to be the next week....nothing else that happens seems to matter...i agree with you romey its just tired right now

It's amazing to me that the show is still even on the air. That shtein started when I was in college.

In the final words of Stringer Bell, "get on wit' it ma farga."
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

The thing is it suffers from its own former excellence.  When that show first aired it was so good it was incredible.  Easily the best show of its time.  They went places with the writing and acting that I didn't think possible for a television show.

Eventually, though, they just ran out of ideas.   The Vito-fag shtein was unbearable to watch last season and although I've seen some of the shows this year and they're slightly different, they're no less annoying.

Whenever I hear one of the characters whining I think of Olivia saying "awe... poor you" to Tony.  That's how I feel about all the characters now:  Awwwwe, poor you.  Just STFU and go away, already.

I thought Trent Cole's favorite show was Darwin Walker's Thigh.

Cole and Walker did that?

I'll probably get blasted for saying this but great episode.  Came out of nowhere, i didnt expect anything from the beginning till the end.

Crazy stuff. It also explains some of the reports I saw earlier.

Great episode.

AJ's little gang of thugs remind me of those dudes in A Bronx Tale.
