Keyshawn Johnson might have to put his television career on hold. Word is there might be a pretty good market for him. The Eagles, Chargers, Giants and Titans are rumored to be among the teams that are at least thinking about pursuing Johnson.

I guarantee the Eagles are listed just because of Reid's banter on Saturday.

I think that just goes to show how much pull Reid's got in the NFL.

And Keyshawn is not a down field threat like Burress. He's a chain-moving type and pretty much has been his whole career.

Nah, I was thinking about the clueless portion of Eagle fans who were clamoring for "a guy like Delhomme" to be the Eagles QB a couple of years ago. He was the flavor of the month to replace McNabb.

My point was Eli sucks and I don't like Keyshawn. I have always thought he was overrated because his YPC and TDs are low.

Reggie Brown has 8 career 40+ yard catches in two season; Keyshawn has 10 in 11 years. My point in typing that was Keyshawn is not going to be the guy who beats a guy deep all the time.

It may have been BS, but Keyshawn said numerous times on his NFL Radio show that Carolina was his last stop.  He said he's getting too old to learn another system and doesn't want to adjust to a new coach.

Of course, now that the gravy train is off the tracks he might change his mind...

yeah but he wouldnt really be needed to go downfield for a team like the giants. i was picturing more like in the redzone/goaline fade patterns where he could burn teams with short corners.

One reason behind Keyshawn's cut

Down 27-24 with little more than a half-minute to play against the Eagles, Keyshawn Johnson ran one of his favorite routes, a fade to the right corner. But Lito Sheppard got in his way and Johnson cut his route short. Jake Delhomme's pass went about where it was supposed to, but Johnson did not. Sheppard picked off the pass to preserve the three-point victory. Delhomme took responsibility for the interception. Some teammates, as well as the gentlemen who employ them, waited for Johnson to acknowledge his role. But he would not say the fault was his. Rather than share the criticism from the media and fans, Keyshawn let Delhomme absorb all of it. The interception probably ended any opportunity Johnson had to remain a Panther
