I actually like this pick quite a bit.  I watch Notre Dame every week and he was a serious player.  Notre Dame's defense was garbage but he was by far the best player out there week in and week out. 

This means that McDougle is done and instead of the Eagles having to pick a guy like Anthony Spencer, they pick a true defensive end in a spot where he was supposed to be picked.

Works for me.


PS: Andy's nose just grew 6 1/2 inches about McNabb.  He's farging done in Philly in two years, maximum.  Bank on it.

Ok I just heard the NFLRadio guys break him down a little and I am not all that upset about the pick as I was before.  

My pissed offedness came more from the fact that this was not an identified position of need for the Eagles.

However, what is changing my mine or at least moderating my anger is the fact that he had some 60 tackles for loss in 29 games with ND.  That's pretty darn good production especially when you consider the kind of competition ND plays.

He is not a bad pick just not what I was expecting in terms of position.
