Didinger was talking about this on WIP this morning. A caller asked about him and he said this dude ate Winston Justice's lunch last year in that game in South Bend where Bush pushed Leinart into the endzone.

So he theorized that they would take him because if he's good enough to beat their guy Justice, he's good enough to be drafted by them

QuotePlays LDE. Does a good job of pursuing plays from the backside. Not the biggest or strongest, but can be stout when he extends his arms and plays with leverage. Had an outstanding play vs Michigan when he pushed back the RT and forced a run wide, then used a spin move to get off the block and make the TFL. Good motor. Good closing speed. Looks quick and athletic, but not fluid. Looks a bit gangly at times. Quick off the ball, but not explosive. Used inside move for sack vs Stanford. Used good inside move vs LSU to get pressure. Good pass rush vs Michigan when he was unblocked. Victor stayed under control as he came upfield, then used a good burst to hit Henne as he threw. Had 19 sacks over the last two years. Very cut, muscular build. Did 25 reps at the Combine. Very raw as a pass rusher. Fires upfield and also has an inside move. Needs to learn how to use his hands, how to set up blockers, and other moves. 2nd Rd player with a lot of upside. Has the frame to develop into a decent sized LDE in the NFL.
Seriously, do you guys even pay attention to who they pick before you criticize it? We get it, the Kolb pick sucks. Not this one.

Not in love with it, don't hate it. More or less "meh" but they need young DE

He seems like a "solid" player. But I expect "solid" players in rounds 3-4-5; not rounds 1 and 2. He does nothing spectacular, just everything OK. Fine. Will that be enough? I don't know. Will he make plays? Who knows. It is just diffcult to get excited about him.

Went to DeMatha...so him and Westbrook can talk about that.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I would have rather Westbrook got to chat with Michael Bush, I think.

General_Failure

It's a shame about him being undersized.

This guy may be the next Deacon Jones, but at this point... I just can't get excited about it.

That Kolb shtein's got me farged up.

I'd rather have bush at 57 than Abiamiri.  Abiamiri is hit or miss but he had a 3rd round grade.  I really dont know what to think of him other than BLAH

Agreed... Let's look at the bright side, though.

Yeah, and Dhani's gone this year too. Right.
