i think spikes gets exposed on the outside almost as much as dhani does just in the passing game instead of the running game...spikes will of course make a lot more plays than dhani but i think hes better suited inside...in fact i think hed be an absolute farging beast at mlb

i basically agree but i dont think its out of the question that trotter gets cut and spikes goes to mlb...trotter makes more money than dhani and having trotter spikes and gaither makes for an extremely slow lb corp...i cringe when i think of coaches like sean payton game planning against them...i see backs and te's running at will all over the field

and if not it will be a fabulous day when dhani jones is no longer an eagle....its really a win win situation

We haven't really discussed the financials. I think if Spikes were willing to rework his contract he would have stayed in Buffalo, so this trade immediately makes him one of the highest-paid players on the Eagles. I think only DMac and a oft-injured DE who is stealing money stand to earn more this year, correct?

We didn't struggle with TE's last season, our D's problem was with getting run over especially on sweep plays. We needed stout LBs not quick small guys who get run over.

and this year expect the opposite to happen...the plus is that spikes will get burtn less in the pass game than dhani did in the run game...the minus is that getting burnt on a pass play is worse than getting burnt on a run play

I'd most like to see Spikes in the middle.  But that still leaves either Jones or Gocong (or Daniels??!!) on the outside.  Yikes.
