Two, Reagor's presence could mean the first step of a defensive tackle overhaul. Maybe the Eagles are targeting a tackle in the draft. Maybe Reagor is a precursor to that scenario.

Three, signing Reagor could trigger a massive re-do of the defense. Who knows? For every action, there is a reaction, right? Is there another step coming on the heels of the Reagor addition?

Merrill wants a big running back, a linebacker and a cornerback/safety, although he was speaking for himself and not necessarily what he thought the "braintrust" would do.

He also was pretty vehement that the Eagles are a legitimate Super Bowl contender and the best team in the NFC East since the Giants haven't done anything and the taterskins have Snyder for an owner.  He is concerned about the Cowboys, though.  He was ripping Danny boy pretty good, actually.

release/trade of Walker and/or Rayburn, I guess...

We should be able to get a late round pick for either, their contracts are small. Walker will go on to lead the league in sacks while Rayburn becomes a dependable run stopper in some other defensive scheme.

Bottom line is the defensive tackles were awful enough to bring in Montae Reagor to firm them up.

Consider that for a moment... MONTAE REAGOR is going to solidify the DT position.
