David Simon and Ed Burns doing an Iraq war miniseries.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Already saw it.  Over There

I watched the Black Donnely's i really liked it.  Good setup, i can see it picking up steam.  As rjs said, same old story but i liked how they setup the family.  The show made its way to the Tivo Season Pass

Simon and Burns are the guys behind The Wire. They also did The Corner, and Simon did Homicide: Life on the Street. Basically everything they've done has been superb, so this miniseries should be the same.

HBO. Not only would it be impossible to do on regular TV, but they don't do miniseries anymore.

Lost was crap tonight

Better than the last one. At least they focused on the island peoples, and some Hurley action. Wasn't bad, just could go for some advancement in the story...

I disagree, I liked the Jack's Tattoo's story better. Tonights episode was dull.

Mitch Hedberg

"That little flap on the vending machine was a good invention. Before that it was hard times for the vending machine owners. "Hey Mitch what candy bar are you having today?"
That one.......and everything on the bottom row."

His jokes might not be as good without that voice...but he was a hilarious mother farger.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Lost has been getting way too over-dramatic, and I saw this week's episode as a bit refreshing. No major developments in the overall story arc, but it was fun to see some humorous character development.

(BTW...the use of Three Dog Night's "Road to Shambhala" was spot on.)

I liked the Corner, but it was basically a really depressing Wire from the junkie's point of view.  I still have a hard time watching CSI Miami and not seeing Alex as a Fran the Junkie.  Yes, we watch CSI Miami, the wife loves it, we just laugh at how much Caruso overacts' and how overly dramatic they try to make the plots.

QuoteHeigl Quits Contract Talks with 'Grey's Anatomy'

Katherine Heigl has dropped out of contract talks with bosses of hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy over a salary dispute. The star plays Dr. Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens on the show and is reportedly upset she is receiving less money than her co-stars. A source tells American publication People, "Katie is disappointed and hurt that (the show's producer) Touchstone doesn't value her as much as her other co-stars, especially Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington." Sources on the set also say tension has emerged after a spin-off series was announced featuring Kate Walsh's character, Dr. Addison Montgomery. A source tells American publication Star, "The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of (Walsh). They each thought they'd be the one chosen to get their own show, and now they're giving Kate the cold shoulder."
