My dad used to tell me I could learn more from Rush than I could going to school. Now yo.u see the kinds of genes I have
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I can't believe I bought and read a book written by that idiot.  I'll shoot myself now.  :fire

rush is a despicable human being who attacks people worse off than him...he mocks the homeless he laughs at date rape...campaigns against the americans with disabilities act...minorities woman gays and on and on and on

unfortunately america is filled with lonely white men who mistrust and misunderstand women...people of different races and cultures...gays...foreigners ect...and its these poor souls who rush speaks to and teaches his bigotry in political terms thus making it ok to hate

justice for him would to chare a guantanamo cell for the rest of his time on earth

Racism = ratings
They figured that out a long time ago with All in the Family.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Ya, but All in the Family was funny.  Rush is straight hate.  All in the Family was presented and viewed as entertainment.  Rush is presented and viewed as news talk, or politics talk.

The fact that we're talking about him is disturbing enough.  He shouldn't rate.

True, but so long as millions cite his commentary as their views, it's hard to ignore the guy.

Agreed, but in spite of the fact that many recognized AitF as satire, many Americans identified with Archie (including my mom & step-dad) and thought it was funny because he said out loud what they were thinking.

Limbaugh on Rex;

QuoteThis is the reaction I'm getting in the e-mail, and before we go to the break here, folks, I gotta get something off my chest. You know, the game was the game, and the game was what it was, but I can't handle any more press criticism of Rex Grossman. They're writing his name "W-r-e-c-k-s," saying he was the worst quarterback ever to play in the Super Bowl, and it's been like this since the Green Bay game -- actually, since the Arizona game. There was a little crescendo of it in the Green Bay game, the last game of the season for the Bears, and it's just unrelenting. They're focusing on this guy like they don't focus on anybody -- and I'll tell you, I know what it is. The media, the sports media, has got social concerns that they are first and foremost interested in, and they're dumping on this guy, Rex Grossman, for one reason, folks, and that's because he is a white quarterback.

Wait... so, the biased, liberal media sycophants focus on Donovan because he's black and Rex because he's white?

Okay, I got it now.

:yay
