the claim that Brady merely manages the team while his defense wins games is not true.  aside from his many last minute drives to win games, his career playoff stats are as follows:

14 games (12-2)
61% completion
19 TD
8 INT
226 yards per game

Peyton's Stats:
13 games (7-6)
61% passing
18 TD
15 INT
269 yards per game

So, they both get too much credit.

Time for truth:

I think Peyton is the better quarterback, and if I had to pick a current NFL QB to build a team on, it would be Brady.

However, I do like to argue.

Because it's the Bible on all things manly, I thought I'd throw this into the ring.

Maxim rated the Top QB's playing today:

1. Tom Brady
2. Payton Manning
3. Carson Palmer
4. Marc Bulger
5. Eli manning

I think the inclusion of Eli makes this list as good as gospel.

I don't read Maxim but I saw this on another board, wasn't this Dan Marino's list? And how he leaves McNabb and Brees off in favor of Bulger and Manning I'll never know.

Eli shouldnt be in the top 15, let alone top 5.

I asked earlier in this thread but got no answer:  does Corey Simon get a ring?

Raheem Brock does, and I'm sure he thanks Andy every day for it too.

If the Colts wanted to give him one, yes.

He would be eligible for one. But since the Colts are trying to sue him for his non football injury and not pay him for this year, I doubt that the Colts will give him one.

No team is "required" to give their players a ring. But if they give it to one player on the active roster, they must give it to everyone on the active roster. Same with injured reserve. If they picked and choosed who they gave rings to, the cost of the rings would actually go against the salary cap I think.

However, Corey Simon is not on the Active roster, and he is also not on Injured Reserved, being that he is on the Non-Football Injury/Illness list, his ring status is completely up to the team.
