No, DM, I disagree.  Brady and Aikman work within a system provided by the coach.  The coach calls/ed plays which played to their strengths.

Manning IS the OC on the field.  He calls all the plays from scrimmage, and they practice fake audibles so he can be more difficult to track.  Manning is superior to almost anyone else who has ever played because he's running the show, not someone on the sideline.

He's also a pretentious twat, and when anything goes wrong it's not his fault.  I'd like to nuke that whole gene line.

I do pretty much understand and agree with what you are saying, my only thing is I think you downplay Brady and Aikman's ability to perform in the clutch.  I don't care how much a system is predicated to a player he still has to come up with the plays in crunch time.

Hard to disagree, DM.  That's why winning the SB was key to his legacy.  With it, he trumps both, I think.

I guess my thing with Peyton is I would like to see him do more in the playoffs, he never seems to have many of the big games like he has in the regular season.  To his credit even when he wasn't on his game in this years playoffs he found a way to win.

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are in a class by themselves right now. I think you could put Brady in Indy and he would perform at roughly the same level that Manning has. I also think that Manning doesn't win 3 Superbowls if he's the Patriots' QB. So I put Brady above Manning personally. But the fact is that comparing the two, which is unavoidable, is stupid. They've both won chapionships. They're both in the discussion for best QB ever (or top 10 or whatever).

Fart.

I'm not kidding or exaggerating when I say that there were MAYBE 100 people. I've never seen anything so farging pathetic in my life.

Keep in mind that west of the Appalachians the wind chill was about -30 degrees today. School was cancelled throughout the midwest because it was dangerous for kids to walk to school, and these are people used to the cold.

ice grillin you

yeah the cold was a factor...but there were thousands outside not 100....and in the dome there were 50,000...still these are numbers that would pale im comparison to what northeast cities would get....its a different animal...also you have to remember that unlike the gold standard did the colts did not release any information regarding the parade until about midight sunday...so it wasnt like the people had a tonof time to rearrange work day plans to attend

IGY are you telling me if the eagles won sunday night, you wouldnt be on the first amtrack to philly.  Its part planning by the city/team but hell if the eagles won, i guarantee you wouldnt be able to get a flight to philly because of all the out of towners coming back for the parade.

I know that myself, i plan an extra week every year for when one of the teams wins, i will spend at least 2 days in the streets of philly partying and celebrating

of course i would all i was saying is there were way more people than "literally 100"

bottom line is this was a poorly planned event that definitely limited attendance...are superbowl parades EVER the day after the game???...i could be wrong and correct me if i am but i thought they were always tuesday - wednesday - thursday....not only was this monday but it was announced to be monday at midnight the day of

to be clear im not defending colt fans...they are pathetic and outside of the occasional home monday nighter you dont ever hear from or of them

Brady has three superbowl rings...Peyton has one.  End of story.

So... Doug Williams, Jim Plunkett, and Ben Roethlisberger...  ALL better than Dan Marino, right?

SunMo

how can people say Brady is a product of the system?  that team has no superstars on offense, and in almost every huge playoff game, he's led them to a win at the end, Brady is great and is better than Peyton, no doubt.  and i'm a huge Peyton fan.
