The BIGSTUD

This loss is definitely easier to swallow that the last playoff losses of recent memory. Even if we won today, we were just delaying the inevitable. Even if the Eagles somehow got to the Superbowl, their terrible defense would've been completely exposed by either the Pats, Colts, or Chargers and then they can play the "we got to the Superbowl our roster is fine" card.

Garcia had a bad start, but he was a primary reason the Eagles were in the game at all.

I am trying to remember that, as I drown my dissappointment in tequila and beer.  The playoffs were a gift, and we should be thankful.

Slightly related, farg you andy (or marty I don't really give a rat's ass) and the stupid playcalling that handed the game to a clearly superior team that "we" could have beaten.

QB Eagles

I could see some team that drafts a QB early starting off the year with Garcia while the rookie learns the ropes. He can't be any worse at it than Plummer, Collins, Bledsoe, or Warner.

MDS

Miami, Oakland (not gonna start Russell yet), maybe KC, maybe Chicago, maybe Carolina, Minnesota, Cleveland all need QB's.

If he is honest about wanting to win more than wanting a starting job or money, then that eliminates a few teams. But if a Kansas City, Miami or Minnesota (good defenses) offer him the starting job...he's gone.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Hell of a way to end the year.  :-\

Actually this is the easiest end of the Eagles season in recent memory. The Eagles got further than they had any right to, and lost to a clearly superior team.

Sure beats getting ass-farged by Ronde Barber or Ricky Manning, watching the offense dick around while time drains out in the Super Bowl, or having to watch Mike McMahon pretend he's an NFL QB for weeks on end.
farg. You.

They had the farging best farging team in the farging NFC handled, and Andy farging Reid blew.  I could give a rat's ass about the dumb inbred mutherfargers in NO.  Hey, you live below sea level, and hurricanes routinely form in the Gulf of Mexico.  GTFO, and if you stay, you deserve to drown you dumb inbred fargs.  They haven't figured it out in Bangladesh either, but Christ, this aint' brain surgery .

Nothing about this loss is easy.  It is worse than the Tampa Bay loss.  Way worse.
Anyone but Reid.

I don't think that Kansas City is replacing Trent Green, and I think that Miami is overly-committed to Dante Culpepper to make Garcia a starter.

Minnesota may be the best option.  West coast disciple, good defense.

Big if in my opinion. Garcia played well, but had some big time help from Westbrook and Stallworth and such. It's not like he was just winging the ball around the field for the past 7 weeks and scoring at will.

Garcia will probably stay. Even if other teams want him, I highly doubt they'd be willing to pay more or significantly more than the Eagles. If McNabb broke his leg... different story. The Eagles know McNabb might not be ready with an ACL tear so they will probably give him some real nice backup money.

I can't see Minny paying that much more than the Eagles if at all for a guy who will just "fill the slot" until Jackson becomes the full-time starter.

Plus, Miami is committed to Lemon.  Inside source and such.

DGunn interviewing M-Lew.  Why?  Did he play?

Lewis says who cares about the winning streak last month....they lost.

Lewis just said he won't be back as a backup or special teams guy and says he's worn the Eagles uniform for the last time.

I had to (try to) contain my emotions in the 2nd half.  My son is sick and sleeping on the couch.

There's no new hole in the wall, but my old Eagles mug is broken.  Kind of like the Eagles' defense.

OUTCOACHED!

Don't we say that every year after losing in the playoffs?

Maybe I should call him and get some Lotto numbers.  He seems awesome at foretelling the future.
