Another dumb play. We have the ball on 2nd and 10 with like 2:30 left and they RUN the ball for a 1 yard gain. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? It hasn't worked all night minus 2 big plays by Westbrook that stuffed the stat sheet.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

We get the ball with like 9 minutes to go and good field possesion, we proceed to throw a deep ball, do a terrible run up the middle, then throw another deep ball.  Then we somehow get the ball with 3 minutes to go, we proceed to throw a pass for -1 yards, then a horrible run up the middle, then another 3 yard pass for incompletion.  Finally, why didn't we go for it?  the Saints were running out the clock, it didn't matter where they got the ball.  Instead we punted away the season.  I wish we had just sucked and went 6-10, and reid and company would be gone.

SunMo

yeah, Marty lumped up big time in the last drive, unless that was reid, then it was par for the course.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Don't tug on my heartstrings, dickwad.  I want you dead by your own hands no later than 1am.

Don Ho

we had a tsunami watch last night.  wish the damm thing had hit.

QB Eagles

People can make Scott Young the goat all they want, but really the loss wasn't about that, or even the amazingly retarded punt decision. If the Eagles had brought any run defense, they'd be leaving NO with a win, and it wouldn't have even been that close. That part of the game was just not present for the Eagles.

Eaglez

Yeah, the run D was the most consistent impediment to success this evening. It was disgustingly bad.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I wonder how Donte' Stallworth and Mark Simoneau, respectively, are feeling right now.

BTW - The Saints have an all-white starting LB corps.  ALL WHITE

The BIGSTUD

At least we know where the money in the offseason needs to be spent.

Wait... did I say money in the offseason?

Nevermind...

Will all those trying to blame the loss on the refs please STOP?!?!?

The Eagles lost:
1.  A porous run defense that reared its ugly head big time in this game.
2.  Crappy playcalling at the wrong times (3rd and 1 at the 3, that punt on 4th and 15).
3.  Brian Westbrook (except the long TD) being basically handled by the Saints.
4.  Several dropped balls- mostly by Westbrook.
5.  Even crappier 3rd down defense (how many 3rd and longs did the Saints convert?).

Could the Eagles have won this game?  Certainly.  Would they have won it if played at home (hello Tampa Bay)?  Maybe.

Now I was annoyed by the Stockton and Johnston, who seemed to have borrowed one of those "F the Eagles" t-shirts from that woman on TV.  Admittedly, that could be partially because of my own Philly bias.

I will say this:  Out of the four NFC teams this week, the Saints would have the best chance of actually winning the Super Bowl.  It ain't likely, but they'd have a better shot than the Eagles (who I would place 2nd), Bears or Seahawks.  They just have the most complete team.

I agree, and I also will be rooting for them if they play anyone other than the Chargers.

Drunkmasterflex

I am pretty pissed about the Ref situation, but my roomate (again a Cowboys fan) was even more pissed.  He thought that was the reason the Eagles lost the game, I disagreed and told him it was Reid.

No excuse not to fix the run defense this offseason... NONE.

See ya Dhani
See ya Walker
See ya Howard
See ya Considine

Considine f'n blows. We need another playmaker at safety besides Dawk.

I wonder what the excuse will be though when the entire defense remains the same and they sell us that Bunkley will be the next Jerome Brown in the offseason.

This is Reid's inverse 4th & 26 game.
