without sounding to much like a talking head i will say that  gaither is a football player...nothing he does jumps out at you he just makes plays

its gonna be interesting to see how he plays the rest of the year as a guage to whether he can be a full time nfl linebacker....if he is that would plug a monster offseason hole

igy gettin it done like warrick

Where are the admins - we better lock down IGY's account, looks like someone stole his password.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I just hope Gaither isn't pulling a Keith Adams on us - showing a lot of promise and playmaking ability, only to be an absolute non-factor next year when the Eagles are counting on him to start.

yeah its tricky...its situations like this that seperate good player personnel depts and bad ones

I think Gaither has been playing well, but Mike Mayock who is a great football analyst and maybe the best out there said when breaking down tape Gaither has been playing very average. He said he hits the wrong holes a lot of the time and is out of position often. He said the average fan might think he is playing well, because it is stuff you don't notice unless you break down the tape.

I disagree but he has a right to his own opinion.

I don't really care about anything else right now other than he's making plays. I forgot what a playmaking LB looked like it's been so long. Plus, he's only a rook, he's going to make mistakes but he's also making his share of plays. I'll accept that tradeoff.

Eaglez

Even if Mike Mayock is right what does that tell you about the rest of the LB Corps. that Gaither has made more plays this season than the other two OLBs seemingly combined.

Dhani Jones got to be one of the captains for the Eagles.  Nice to see that he stepped up his play against his former team... meaning at least we didn't see him whiff more than once or twice.

Job #1 this offseason should be to get rid of that banjo strumming homo.  The amount of suckitude he brings to the defense can't be measured by using conventional methods.

He actually played alright yesterday, IMO.  Outside of the boneheaded penalty he got early on... I only remember one time I got pissed at him.  He failed to get off a block that let Tiki get the outside and pick up about 10-12 yards... but he also dropped Tiki for about a 2-3 yard loss.  Solid game... and NO AIR GUITAR!!!!!!

Everyone that got to go up the middle of the defense looked like a Pro Bowler yesterday, thanks to the Giants being without Shaun O'Hara.  I even spotted Darwin Walker once or twice.  And his thigh.

Seabiscuit36

I saw the TE's blocking him 2 times on outside runs that he made no effort.  Add to that he missed one tackle and ended up jumping onto dawks leg.  He's garbage that needs to be taken out
