the biggest thing is they had an unbelievably easy first half and the best they are gonna go is 5-3...

and now you only have one divison game left at home...so forget at indy and carolina at home in the second half how is a team this soft gonna win at dallas and new york

im afraid the second half is gonna be real ugly

The BIGSTUD

People are looking at certain games as losses for the wrong reasons. They say the Jags will be a loss or Carolina will be a loss or Dallas will be a loss, etc. The obvious conclusion is they think those teams are good.

Well the Eagles didn't lose to the Giants, Saints or Bucs. They lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have beaten themselves in every loss this season. So the Eagles right now could lose to the Raiders or they could beat the Broncos.

The point is the Eagles are good enough to beat any team in this league, but that is only if they play smart football. Could they lose to the Jags? Sure they could. But not because they beat the Eagles out-right. It would be because the Eagles farged up again and made stupid mistakes. Same for the Panthers and other games. The only team on the schedule left better than the Eagles is the Colts. Every other game is very winnable as long as we STOP THE fargING MISTAKES.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

This team is full of retards.

The Eagles annually lose 1 game like they did yesterday - it was to be expected...once. They've done so 3 times in the first half of the season. I kept hearing the same bullshtein after the Dallas game about how 'we learned so much from the loss to the Giants', truth is they haven't learned shtein. Its like watching a stupid dog that keeps going for the treat even though it knows its going to get a shock.

And the Steelers were, what, 7-5 at one point last year and backed into the 6th spot?

They (Eagles) should be better recordwise no doubt. But we don't know how they'll respond to having their backs against the wall.

its ironic that you bring up the steelers and then mention backs against the wall and will....because they had/have a coach that instills an iron will in his players...andy reid on the other hand is softer than tissue paper and his teams dont have that kind of intestinal fortitude...led by his qb

That is the weird thing. Usually Andy Reid teams learn from mistakes and show up the next game crisp, focused, and on a mission. This season so far has been a total paradox of Andy Reid teams. Andy Reid teams don't usually commit stupid penalties or show up slow two games in a row. This has been one weird season.

Please stop, you sound like a Skins fan.

And yesterday wasn't Reids or the players fault, it was McNabbs.

If Andy learned anything from yesterday's piece of garbage, it should be Donovan's barfing technique.  binge and purge andy.

Yes

And sometimes you have to ask yourself is the delay of game call for 5 yards in the 2nd half worth burning a T/O over.

I agree and have said that multiple times on here. But McDougle's mistake was a big play in the game.

Exactly.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Munson

so the other 4 years they did it don't count?

Instead, the 2005 injury riddled, TO infested, McNabb hurt year is the only one that counts.

I get it. :D

Now the first thing one of you will say is the team is worse now then it was back then.
No, it isn't. THe defense is most definately playing worse, but this offense is LIGHTYEARS ahead of the 2000-2003 days.

What will determine the outcome of this season will be if the team can cut out the stupid mistakes. They've really made a huge difference between 7-0 and 4-3. They can make it to 10-6 IF they can cut out the mistakes. This team is more talented then any Andy has had...but if anything, the 2006 Eagles have proven you can have all the talent in the world, and it won't mean shtein if you make too many mistakes and play stupid.

I'll stand by and wait before I make a real judgement on this team for the rest of the year. If they play like they are right now, I'm expecting 8-8 or 9-7. But who knows how they'll play for the rest of the year. History says they play better in the 2nd half of the year. Let's see what happens.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
