pretty big words from someone who wont even be here next year.

he finally wasn't the sole reason the eagles lost, or almost gave the game away and now he talks.  i find that a little coincidental with considine appearing to get more playing time this game.

Mike Lewis postgame quote:  "Go ahead and jump off the bandwagon because we don't need you."

i guess it something....nice to know the players feel it too...even if it is a crappy player who was benched.

Just got off work and now I'm really farging heated.

The zesty part of working in a TV station when the Eagles lose is having to see the damn thing over and over again in every farging highlight.  Of course, being that the Bucs are division rivals of the Falcons... it's a relevant game here even though we concentrate on the local stuff.

We do a half hour of news at 11:00 and then a half hour sports special immediately afterwards.  Well... we start the sports special, and I see that farging kick in the show open.  We show the Eagles/Bucs highlights... I see that farging kick.  We even have a sponsored highlight called the "Thrill of the Week".  Guess what... it's that farging kick!  It was farging torture.

Meanwhile... since I guess he can hear me huffing and puffing while I'm punching the show (and he knows I'm an Eagles fan), the producer was looking at me with this dumb smirk on his face and he says, "Don't break anything over there, Ronnie".  He kept on smiling until I told his punk ass to eat a fleshpop.

There's also a co-worker of mine who sits back behind me and every time we showed that farging kick... she'd say, "Sixty two!  Damn!" just to farg with me.  I told her that "62" is the number of her family members that I hope catch AIDS.

farg that punk ass producer.

farg my co-workers who try to get under my skin.

farg the Bucs.

farg Matt Bryant.

farg the Eagles.

farg you guys.

I'm going to bed.  Gotta get up in the morning to go back to that shteinhole.  Good farging night.

obviously, everyone is going to remember this game for Donovan's awful play early.  the picks, the play at the end of the 1st half, everything.  and they should remember that...he singlehandedly put them in a 17-0 hole.  but he also brought them out of it, that shouldn't be forgotten.  he made awful mistakes but made up for them with some great plays.  the net result was the Eagles being up 1 point with 33 seconds left.

33 seconds left, the kickoff goes 2 yards in the endzone and the Eagles let the Bucs get to the 35(ish).  then, the defense still has an opportunity to shut down a rookie quarterback who hadn't done anything all day and they couldn't do it.

Donovan played awful, but don't forget the Eagles had the lead with 33 seconds to play, and blew it.  That should be remembered just as much as Donovan's mistakes, if not more.

the more fundemental problem is the eagles being out time of possesioned this year by over five minutes a game....this is a meaningless stat in blowouts vs houston and gb but in close tough games its a killer

yesterday westbrook could not be stopped averaging over 8 yards a carry and yet he only runs the ball 13 times...result?...tampa wins the TOP battle by more than three minutes...turn that around or even make it even and give the ball to the eagles an extra 3-5 minutes thruout the game and tampa doesnt have any time to score at the end

it should have never come down to the end

Bottom line is that they lost at least two that they should have won.  If they don't win some that they "should" lose, there's no way they make the playoffs.  What really bothers me-- even when they win-- is that on O, they live and die by the big play and can't sustain any drives to control the clock; conversely, on D...they can't get off the damn field when it counts.  That's not a great formula for long-term success.

I woke up realizing we still blow.  Matt Bryant will never make another FG beyond 50.  Only against us.  Cursed.  :poison

I don't agree with that. How often does a kicker make a 62 yard feel goal? That wasn't the Eagles fault. The Eagles defense did their part in stopping them. 99/100 times that FG misses and we win. McNabb put the team in too big of a hole. If he didn't then it should've been a 21-9 game, but it wasn't. EVen if we got a FG at the end of the first half then we would've most likely won that game too.

Although I wouldn't have been shocked if Tampa converted on a hail mary late in the game the way our luck has been this year.
