Andy would not call a pass to the 3 yard line,

that's exactly what he did, AR was betting on the fact that the Barber would follow Baskett to the corner of the end zone and LJ would be able to run right in.  unfortunately, McNabb was smart enough to throw the ball away once Barber stayed home. 

but the play was to LJ, no doubt.

What is to say that the play wasn't designed for Baskett and McNabb threw the ball elsewhere?

Come on folks that's not Andy's fault!   McNabb just made a brutal mistake and it's not the first time this has happened.  Donovan just has to be smarter!!

Let's face it if they stop the mistakes the D is playing well, they can easily win this.

So, 3 and out by the Bucs, followed by our offense scoring 28 points, and then the defense giving up 24 in the 4th quarter while our offense throws up another goose egg.

I think that's more a credit to TB sucking this year than anything. With all the mistakes the Eagles have made they should be up big right now.

I can't wait to see the million complaints about time management after the game. That play had NOTHING to do with time management. The drive was managed perfectly. Andy would not call a pass to the 3 yard line, that was all on McNabb and he is having a poor game today no question.

Poor decision by McNabb. Bad play call my Andy Reid. End of half. That's about it all you can say.

I'm not being a fleshpop, but why is it a bad play call by Reid? I know there is a lot of shtein to blame on him, but he didn't say to throw it to the guy 4 yards short of the endzone.

it doesnt matter who it was designed for...you cant have a route being run in that situation that comes across the field at the three yard line

As already pointed out by me, and IGY, and for some reason we agree....

The fault with Reid is in the fact that he shouldn't have a route on that play not going in the endzone or right on the line. It's a bad play call followed by a bad decision by McNabb.

Andy designing that play to go to LJ is the football equivalent of an officer ordering soldiers to fire on their own men... McNabb should disobey even if he was specifically told to go to Smith.

Aside from the stupid end of the first half, we seriously need to cut down on the farging fumbles. I don't know how many we had last year but we have to have more this season already in not even half the games.
