number of beers/cocktails you will drink before kickoff - 3-4

TO touchdowns -  0 (Terry Glenn 1)

brief game analysis -
game starts slowly - like a heavy weight boxing match - but after half time turns in blood bath  :evil    Eagles win the game 34 - 21 and the defence has 2 turn overs (welcome back Lito)!

final score - Eagles 34-21

this thread will be revisited so be smart

Number of drinks--2

TO TDs--1

Game analysis--Reid and Marty revisit 2005 when they piled 181 rushing yards on the Cowboys. McNabb will hit a couple of quick screens that will go a long way.  The defense will surprise Bledsoe, as he will be expecting them to blitz, which they won't do very often--their concentration instead will be to stop Julius Jones. In a bit of a surprise, both Westbrook and Stallworth play even though both aren't at 100%.

Intangibles--The crowd will be a major factor in this game and the Eagles will feed of that. McNabb will play like a man possessed--he wants to prove Owens wrong, while at the same time signaling to the rest of the division that he's capable of putting a team on his shoulders and carrying them when he has to. Bledsoe's interview where he dared the Eagles to "blitz me and pay the consequences" will blow up in his face.

I'm looking for the kind of home field advantage that enabled the Falcons to walk in to a "buzz saw" in New Orleans.
I know u guy's hate the long threads, but I believe in REALLY breaking down a game. This is no 3 answer prediction, but an in depth look at REAL strategy and keys to victory.

Dallas Strategy on O: I can see the Tuna being wise, and using some of what the Packer's did last week. The Boyz will run the ball often, regardless of the outcome per play. When they do throw it, Bledsoe will throw from a 3 or 5 step drop, and allow his receiver's to pick up YAC. This will negate the pass rush, as you saw on Monday night. It will be tough to cover Jones out of the backfield, and I see JJ rolling his coverage towards Glen and NOT towards T.O. (Historically, JJ's D has always handled T.O. very well) Jason Whitten is the real problem here. If he exploits the seams, we are in trouble. I also see Tuna using a lot screens & misdirection plays, off of Jones chipping a pass rusher, then releasing out.

Dallas D:  Without Stallworth, they will simply man up on the Eagle WR's, and take their chances. I see R. Williams in the box all day, TRYING to shadow B-West, and stuffing the run. If they can make the Eagles one dimensional by taking away the run,  they will zone dog a lot, and try to put the heat on FIVE. We all know that this Eagle team has historically had trouble against the 3-4 defense. Frankly, they stink at deciphering who's blitzing from the zone dog, and picking up the right people. Maybe it was Fraley's line calls, I dunno...we shall see. The Eagles MUST stay with the run, to keep the heat off of Five!

Eagle O:  They will need at least 30 combined rushing attempts to be in this game, and keep FIVE alive and effective. Buck has always had good games against the Boys, so I expect him to get the bulk of the carries, while the abscence of Stallworth, will force Andy to use B-West to spread the field. We all know Andy wants to get him matched up on a LB or S in the passing game, and this can work for us. Can you say DECOY for LJ Smith?
I fully expect the Dallas D to roll coverage to Westbrook, and play him "inside out" when he is lined up wide, or comes out of the backfield. Tuna will certainly take a long look at what the PAT'S did in the SB, and use some of that scheme....The key here: Keep FIVE clean, and throw to LJ, who will likely have 1 on 1 LB coverage. It's also time for Reggie Brown to step it up, as he will have 1 on 1 coverage most of the day. CATCH THE BALL, Reggie!

I like G-lew in his normal role as 3rd/4th WR, because he usually gets a favorable match up with the D's weakest coverage corner out of the nickel or dime D. While he has some glaring weaknesses, the fact is that G-lew is pretty fast, and usually exploits that coverage. Don't discount his deep threat ability, if Dallas plays him in man, without pressing him. Basically, Dallas is going to try and make FIVE beat them. He will have to run when the opportunity is there, and make the stick throws when they are to be had. FIVE will have to carry this O, or they cannot win.

Eagle D: This is the tough one to figure, due to injuries. We ALL know, that the DL HAS to get quick pressure on Bledsoe, right up the middle, in his face. I expect to see a WHOLE LOT of Bunkley in this game, as he has shown the ability to collapse/push the pocket from the middle. He hasn't been getting enough snaps or been used in all of the proper situations so far, in my opinion. I see Dallas using a lot of 2 TE sets, with Fasano helping on Trent Cole in obvious passing situations. Jaqua Thomas must come up big, along with the interior of the DL, as I don't see JJ blitzing the full house. I'd love to see JJ use a WELL DISGUISED DB blitz package, so they can get to Bledsoe FAST.( I really hate the fact that JJ shows his blitzes pre snap, and hardly ever disguises it. It makes it way too easy on a smart QB)

They must TACKLE well...plain and simple. Dallas will throw a lot of short stuff and look for YAC...it's important to keep a 6 yard pass, a 6 yard pass! The Eagles will use WEAPON X over the top of Terry Glen, and M-Lew and Dhani will be covering Whitten a lot. This means that Trot and McCoy must be smart, and make sure tackles in the running game. Bottom line is to tackle well and to take advantage of any Dallas mistakes...We MUST make the INT when it's in our hands, and we MUST get to loose balls.

Final Score  Eagles 27  Dallas 23

i dont see how the eagle offense scores a lot of points in this game without any wr's

they have scored a lot this year against teams that are all in the bottom five of the nfl

dallas is a top five defense...and a 3-4 defense...both of which to me spell trouble for mcnabb and the offense

theres gonna be lots of three and outs sunday for the birds
holla.

number of beers/cocktails you will drink before kickoff : +/- 7

TO touchdowns: 0

brief game analysis: The game is won by the Eagles OL & DL. They give McNabb tons oftime and the defense gets to Bledsoe (they have to get him up the middle though - he CANNOT step up into the pocket)

Regardless of if Stallworth plays or not they will move the ball.

final score: Eagles win 27-17

TO held in check, 5 catches, 48 yards no TDs.

how many times in his non TO career has mcnabb had a huge game against a very good/great defense in a big spot

Well, now he has one in his post-TO career eh?

I shotgunned a beer with Beermonkey. Actually, he only shotgunned about half of his but, you know, close enough.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?
