I love how Manuel is going to great lengths to not use Burrell as a PH for Dellucci. Or maybe hes just telling Dellucci that he sucks since a 40 year old and a 33 year old rookie are hitting ahead of him. Either way, Burrell isnt playing and I'm happy.

I have no confidence in him at all.

When he got the job he said "We need five more wins".

In spring training he said he did not add five more wins.

When he traded Abreu he told us not that the Phillies would not compete till 08 maybe 09.

When he got Moyer he was said he thought the Phils had a very good chance to win the wild card.

While it's great that he admits he is wrong, this and the general track record of his moves this year do not inspire confidence in me. 

I give him a C- as a general manager this year.  If this team makes the playoffs, it is in spite of Gillick.  Not because. 

I am still bitter from the Abreu trade.
