Quite the contrary.  I know I suck at the photoshop.  I started using it last year but gave it up and recently started toying around with it again.....getting a little better at it too.  But I'm not looking for anything other than perhaps a mild chuckle at my played out collar popping reference.   In this particular case I was able to add a visual.

Now go beat off to some pictures of Dubya.     If you want, I can PM you some photochopped pictures of him pocketing your money and laughing at you.

Watched Jericho. Pretty average. Wasn't bad, but wasn't that good either. I'll probably check out the next 2 episodes to see if it gets better and if not I'll watch it. It is reminding me a little bit of Invasion with the first episode and that show was total garbage.

Saw the first episode of Studio 60 and it's not bad at all. I don't know it's the type of show that I could tune in regularly for, but I'll certainly give it 4 episodes before making that call.

It was better than Heroes, but Heroes was more interesting than good. Heroes was better than I expected, but I expected crap. It wasn't amazing, but it was a solid pilot IMO. It has potential, but I could also see it going nowhere. I hope it lives up to it's potential, because it has potential to be a solid show.

Studio 60 was quite good. I didn't find it funny at all other than Matthew Perry though, but I've always found him funny. It is more of a drama than a sitcom which I like a lot.

You guys watch way too much farging TV.

I'd say I watch less than the average person. I watch 3 shows a week right now, not including sports. Two are on monday. I really don't have anything to watch from tuesday to saturday at all. So I've been looking for something to watch during those days. It'll probably be Heroes or Studio 60. Maybe both. I'll have to torrent them though because both come on mondays I believe.

Yes but my point is that you enjoy TV enough to actually actively look for something to watch on the days that you don't have anything to watch. I can't even begin to relate to that.

I have a couple of shows that I like, and I make half-assed attempts at watching them as they air but I'd rather just buy them on DVD and watch them at my leisure. TV, by and large, eats mountains of ass.

There's a thick layer of dust on top of my tv right now, except for one clean spot in the shape of a remote. Oddly, there's a remote on top of it.

I agree with RJS on this.  Other than sports, I watch nothing on television other than occasional movies/shows on DVD.

Actually, this is considered by many to be the "golden age" of TV. While that may be overstating it, compared to what we've had the last 10-15 years with non stop game shows, idiotic reality shows and just plan crap, this is the golden age. There are a lot of good, quality shows to pick from each night. I'm not sitting here saying you should watch one of them (well, except for The Wire..everyone should watch that), but it is incorrect to claim that TV eats mountains of ass. Out of the pilots I've seen (close to 2/3's), only 3 really eat ass. And one of them has the incomperable Jeff Goldblum, so it's even tough to say that thats not any good. Not to mention, generally most of the returning stuff is pretty good (there are exceptions like According To Jim and George Lopez). A lot of people have negative opinions of TV because of the crap that was being sent out there for the past few years, but nowadays, its generally good. And yes, I do you realize both you and Geo are miserable, crotchity old men, but it couldn't hurt you to be somewhat pleasent for a change.

Actually, it would kill them.

Actually, Temple boy, I'm a crotchety old father.  No way will I subject my children to most of the stuff that's on television nowadays.

MDS

Most of it isn't that bad. Depends how old your kids are. Don't go all Parents Television Council on me now.

when you say "this" is the golden age of TV... are you referring to this year alone?

Yea you guys watch a lot of TV. I don't have one show I watch weekly. I turn on the TV when I eat, usually turn to espn or nfl network. other than that national geographic, military, discovery or travel channels.
it all looks very boring
