@SF - W  ...but it will be closer than most people think with all the Eagles' injuries on defense.
GB - W  Thankfully for the Eagles, this team stinks a lot.
DAL - W  T.O. will either play at less than 100% or be on the sideline being a pain in the ass.  This game is an absolute must-win for a depleted Eagles team, and I think they do win it.
@NO - L  After the emotional high of beating Dallas, the Birds suffer a let-down in New Orleans, much to the chagrin of the many drunk fans.
@TB - W  Eagles are getting healthy in the secondary now, and the Tampa Bay offense is really bad.
JAX - L  The previous two weeks for the Jags are a bye then at Houston.  They're rested.
~~BYE~~  So, the Eagles are 5-3 at the bye (1-1 in the division and 4-2 in the conference)
WAS - W  This Washington team is fairly brutal and will be coming off a Dallas game.  Not a gimme, but even if the Eagles go 1-5 in the division, this is the game they should win.
TEN - W  Horrendous team.  If the Eagles lose this game, season is over.
@IND - L  Peyton Manning will wipe the floor with the Eagles as he always does.
CAR - L  The Panthers are on fire trying to make the playoffs after starting off the season without Smith.
@WAS - W  The Eagles are coming off two losses, and the skins may be coming off two home losses to Carolina and Atlanta.  But I simply think this Washington team is bad.
@NYG - L  The Eagles had their chance to beat this team and blew it.  Now, in their own house, the Giants will give the Eagles more chances, but they'll squander them away.
@DAL - L  It could be a pivotal game for both teams' playoff hopes.  Give Dallas the edge due to HFA.
ATL - W  The Eagles do a good job against Vick, but the Falcons may not even choose to play him.

9-7 overall, 3-3 in division, 7-5 in conference... possibly a wild card, or miss playoffs

It's obvious the injuries are catching up with us.  Again.

I suppose I really want to see the exact measurable difference between the "sky is falling" people and the Bunkley78's.

You might even have a tough time finding the 8 wins if you did.

@SF - W  This game is going to be close. This is an entirely different Niners team than last year. Birds win.

GB - W  It's a W. Not a lot to be said

DAL - W  Team really comes together here.

@NO - W  New Orleans offense is seriously good at this point, but the defense is atrocious. Eagles take the W.

@TB - W  Turns into a tough, low scoring game, Eagles make less mistakes and win in ugly fashion.

JAX - L  Jacksonville is well rested and the defense is stiffling. The Birds will have a shot all game because the Jags offense can't seal the deal, but the Eagles can't get it going.

~~BYE~~  6-2 at the BYE. 1-1 in the division. I have to believe that the team we saw for first three quarters yesterday is what this team is, and is really capable of. I really think from here on out, they keep their foot to the floor. There are several games up there that allow them to get healthy for the tough part of the schedule.

WAS - W I think Washington may be at the point they are mailing it in. Brunnell is benched, and Campbell doesn't look like anything special.

TEN - W  Not much to say here.

@IND - L  This will be a great game, but in the end, the Birds can't keep up.

CAR - L  I agree with FF here. The Panthers are hungrier at this point, and play some serious smash mouth football.

@WAS - W  The taterskins are lifeless and easy pickings.

@NYG - W  The Eagles will have been waiting for this game. The way they played yesterday for three quarters is the way they play this entire game and then some. Team looks possesed.

@DAL - L  The Birds drop this game, and it hurts. This game will probably allow Dallas to creep into the playoffs.

ATL - W  The Falcons are probably on their way to playoffs and bench the playmakers.

11-5. 4-2 in the division. Holy shtein. I can't believe it came out that way. I must be a homer. Seriously, I see it as going one of two ways. The Birds can take what happened yesterday, and play pissed off until they get the Giants again, or they can go in the tank. I think the next few games are going to be perfect, allowing them to get healthy again for the stretch. If this team plays angry and determined from here on out, I'll say it, 11-5 is doable. :paranoid

The Eagles rattling off 5 straight wins to go 6-1, with Lito, Kearse, and possibly Hood all on the bench is where you went wrong.  Hell, I have them going 4-1 to be at 5-2, and even that's very homerish.  If Hood's injury is at all serious, this team is seriously in bad shape.

General_Failure

@SF - W I hope the offense remembers how to play. Bryant should have a great game against a small, weak secondary.
GB - W If they don't win this one I'm going to shoot myself and all of you as well. Be prepared.
DAL - L Good, tall receivers again. Outstanding TE. Motherfarging Owens. I will shoot you all again.
@NO-  W Let's all get drunk!
@TB -  W I hope Gruden doesn't pull a good QB out of his ass.
JAX -  L That's one big farging WR they've got there. I hope the defense can gets some pressure on Leftwich.
WAS - W Finally, a good matchup for these DBs. The most inept QB not on a bench right now will help, too.
TEN - W Be prepared to be shot again if they lose this one. In the face.
@IND - L
CAR - W Keshawn and Carter worry me, but they haven't put up a lot of points yet.
@WAS - W Another must-win game. This one they really must win.
@NJG - L They can smoke this team, but I don't like this 3-games on the road deal.
@DAL - L I may resort to crying. 2-4 in the division.
ATL -  L And that's the season.

9-7, backing into the playoffs maybe.

I agree with this, except I have them beating ATL the last game of the year and going 10-6.  Hood needs to find the field asap though.

Well, I can see that. Especially if Atlanta is resting their starters.

The Tampa game could go either way, but I just have a weird feeling their defense plays great that day and their offense finally begins to come around a few weeks before we play.

I got em at 11-5/12-4.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

@SF - L Jeff Garcia's homecoming not quite spiffy enough.
GB - L Favre's one weakness is also the Eagles'.
DAL - L TO dies trying to rope, pull and brand Garcia after a touchdown pass.
@NO-  L  The Eagles are too hungover after partying at the French Quarter all night, forfeit the game.
@TB -  L McNabb is stung by a stingray in the Gulf of Mexico.  He says "Crikey!"
JAX -  L Greg Lewis is already crying.
WAS - L Art will be pointing and laughing.
TEN - L McNabb, Stallworth and Dawkins all stranded when McNabb's Hummer breaks down; Angelo Cataldi refuses a ride to the stadium
@IND - L Manning throws eleventy billion touchdown passes.
CAR - L Fearless prediction:  This will be the Panthers' first win.
@WAS - L Joe Gibbs becomes the Angel of Death, touches Michael Lewis.  Eagles fans in attendance give him standing ovation.
@NJG - L Eagles goes up 24-7 in the 4th, but choke the lead after Trent Cole takes stupid personal foul penalty to allow tying FG in the last seconds, then lose in OT.  Deja vu?
@DAL - L Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb come to blows on the sidelines.  TO laughs, then asks Jerry Jones for a new contract.
ATL -  L Michael Vick passes for -5 yards, but runs for 700.

Eagles finish 1-15.  Get first pick.  Reid uses it on an OT.

in light of recent events, i can't see the eagles doing any better than 1-15.

of course if they pull out a win next week i'll have to re-evaluate things to go 15-1
