I'll understand if you guys want to drown in your tears and sorrow for the rest of the night, but whenever you feel like moving past this loss, this is the place to try to find something to feel better about yourself.

Positives:

- 13 sacks in 2 games after only 29 last season
- Stallworth another big game
- McNabb healthy and looking excellent
- LJ Smith hasn't fumbled yet, although he dropped a key pass.
- Buckhalter hasn't tore up his knee yet
- Offensive line giving McNabb excellent protection
- Linebackers playing extremely well.
- The Eagles are still tied in first place in the division with 3 or 4 easy games coming up and the Giants having 2 or 3 extremely tough games in a row. We could easily be back in first in a week or two.
- By the time we play Dallas, hopefully Lito and Hood will be back.

The loss sucks, but it can never hurt to look on the bright side of things sometimes. I understand if you still want to drown yourself in beers tonight, but sooner or later you'll move on, and it's always good to look at some things the Eagles have done right.

its not that i think the eagles are doomed or that they wont win the nfc east cause i honestly think we will win the nfc east still...its just this week is going to be killer. i live in nyc..going to work tomorrow is going to suck. trying to avoid any game coverage or highlights for a week is going to suck. basically till we play and beat san fran (hopefully) everything is going to suck.

it was my bday today and after the game i had plans to go out but i just sat at home. 6 days are going to be way too long.

There was plenty to be excited about. Right up until the 4th quarter started.

Dealing with Giants fans are the last of my worries. I can handle that no problem. The worst part for me are the injuries combined with not going to get 100% over this loss until we face the Giants again late in the season.

I'm not down on the team, I'm just pissed that they mailed it in after the 3rd quarter when there was still a full 15 minutes to play. I just saw ESPNNews and the Giants out did the Eagles in the 4th and OT: 23-0 (points), 270-45 (yards), 14-2 (first downs). That's farging pathetic anyway you slice it. They just stopped playing, completely, and there's no excusing that. It's the Titans opener all over again and since Reid obviously didn't learn from that coaching choke job there's no hope for him what so ever.

The only thing that kept me positive today was the fact I was camping on the North Shore of Oahu.  First north shore swell of the season.  4-6 feet this morning and perfect.  Luckily(well actually not so lucky)the beach house we were using as our base camp had a TV.  I paddled in at halftime and my son says "Dad the Eagles are winning 17-7!"  I couldn't believe it.  Grab some coffee and breakfast and watch the second half.  24-7!  Sweet.  I was so jacked.  It was so damn frustrating since we we're with a big group and every time someone walked by the TV they'd ask "What the hell?" as the Giants crept closer and closer.  Thank god they all know I'm a huge birds fan and everyone went easy on me.  Epic surf is the perfect therapy oh and the walk down the beach to take the kids body boarding helped as well - nuggets galore!

throw in a "positivity thread" after the Monday night game, closer to Thursday when the previous disastrous football week is over.

you see what is happening here right?

This is the worst regular season loss this side of Tommy Hutton. Don't tell me to be positive.

Hey, at least your Mets tied up the division title finally... right?

But seriously, what is there to be positive about?  This is worse than the Titans game in 2002, because that was the first game of the season, on the road, against an AFC team.  With the injuries piling up and the team now 0 for 1 at home and 0 for 1 in the division, what is there to be positive about?  ...that they still have 14 more games to possibly lose in dramatic fashion?

Awful game.

Truth.

I work with a bunch of Gnats "fans" and by the time I got to work I already had 4 emails about the game.  Its not like there was any trash talk last week either...at least I would understand that.

Exactly. There's no point in having a "let's be positive and suck each other off" thread the night OF one of the worst losses in recent memory.

We all know why we lost the game, its plain to see. Reid called the game like a mormon pays attention to his kids. Its pretty bad when one of us could of called better plays. Unreal, the God of the run game needs to kick him in his nuts. Thats positive, thats the truth.

they need to run that semi-no huddle all the time.  it gave Donovan plenty of time to scout the defense and change the play if he wanted to
