I know why THEY don't want him back there. He's made out of pretzeled bread and gets hurt a lot as it is. They don't want to risk him being injured further.

But I don't buy the whole 'do you want him on the sidelines on first down, letting the opponent know that you going to be passing?' thing for two reasons:
1. This team is always passing on first down anyway. If the other team doesn't know that by now they deserve to lose.
2. Reid has always worked more than one RB into the offense. Put the other dude in if wittle Bwian is too tired.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

No shtein. Which is why he doesn't sniff a PR unless they need a miracle ala NY in 2003

Not one person has ever given me a good reason for the team to have anyone other than Westbrook returning punts.

because Reno Mahe led the NFL in punt return average last year.   :-D

reese125

the sad part about that is its so true, and thats what the coaches have their eye on--the fact that he did that in a half season = JOB SECURITY

PoopyfaceMcGee

I'm coming around on Reno.  Maybe the whole trick is we all have to accept him for him to actually be cut.

BTW, one thing Spadaro mentioned is that when Ritchie and Parry were competing for the FB job, Ritchie sat out the final pre-season game and the general assumption was that this meant Ritchie was likely the starter... but he ended up being cut in favor of Parry.  Tomorrow night, Parry will sit while Tapeh will play.  Intriguing... sort of.

General_Failure

Tapeh got a whole five snaps at fullback in games and he's going to be the starter?

I did an analysist of the FB's in the Raiders game for my upcoming website and it was  obvious that Parry is a much much better lead blocker than Tapeh at this point in time.   Tapeh has a better background in running ala Alstott so it depends on what type of player Reid is looking for.

Murp does your website have a spellchecker?  :-D
