Yes, I'm suggesting a final solution for all ES members.

Quotegeneric, and telegraphed, to see how Rogers did with out help

did they resemble last seaons blitzes?

Not enough?

Quotehatever.

I can't believe so many so called football fans can't see what the skins are doing in preseason.

The coaches suddenly have forgotten to coach, the line has forgotten how to block, Brunell has forgotten how to audible, the defense has forgot to disguise blitzes

this is a veteran team, that's been together for 2-3 years now, 18 of 22 starters return.. they don't need to waste time practicing what they are good at, they need to work on the weakness, and find out what each player can handle.

Jack Nicklaus always practiced his weaknesses, people said watching him practice you think he was a weekend hack, but come tournament time, he was on his game, and when he was faced having to play into his weakness, he didn't panic because he had been working on it.

Same philosophy here, Joe Gibbs cares less if panicky fans need reassurance in pre-season... screw that he is doing what he has always done to get ready for the season when he has a good team. Hide the playbook, work on weakness, put players in difficult positions to get them some experience so when it comes up during the season they will be prepared.

how many times have you seen teams tear up preseason, doing a lot of things, scoring points, only to see them have a losing regular season.

you work on your weaknesses, not try to look good, or practice what you can already do well in preseason.... the games don't count!

The whole generic and telegraphed thing cracks me
up. Those idiots really honestly think that fundamentals do not matter.

A 4-12 season from them would be delicious.

One more from an idiot:

QuoteAccording to Saunders he was putting the players in "difficult situations" to see how they would react. I guess he was testing to see if Brunell can take a hit

The funniest thing about ES is that even before they went to being the "official board of the Washington taterskins" over 90% of the active poster population there NEVER played a SINGLE DOWN of competitive football (or any other sport) in their lives. Yet they all talk like they've lived their lives on the gridiron.

Are you implying that over 90% of :CF has played a significant amount of competitive contact sports?

That might be pushing it.

I mean... I know that I, personally, was a stud black linebacker in high school and ran the 40 in under 4.3.  But I don't think most of the people on the board lie as much are as awesome as me.

It's not whether they've played the game or not, it's that they act like they're football geniuses without having ever, ever played at all. They read some draft magazines, watch ESPN's talking heads and read SI on the shteinter and think they know all the nuances of the game. It cracks me up, especially when they watch a television broadcast and call it "game film" when they have no farging idea what actual game film looks like.

I wore this uniform in high school.  100% wool and hot and itchy.  I also lived in the same room that Tom Cruise got blown up in towards the end of the movie.  You're jealous, I can tell.

While I whole-heartedly agree that a great majority of ES posters are overblown douches, I still think you are overestimating :CF.  And forget-about-it if you actually factor the EMB into the equation:

Did it have a flap on the ass that flipped open for easy access?

First off, the EMB is about on even par with ES for me if not a notch below. That place is a cesspool.

And I wasn't talking about CF at all, I have only a slight idea who's played organized sports at some level here. The key difference, though, is that posters here don't almost universally act like they're not only disciples of the head coach, but they don't act like sanctimonious pricks when it comes to talking about the sport. Well, some do but we won't go there. ;)

You're my new idol. Did they leave his fake blood in the room with all the rumble or did they clean it? If they cleaned it up you got hosed.

I only get sanctimonious when Reid calls 8 rushing plays over the course of a game. Then its sanctimoniousness left and right. LEFT AND RIGHT, I say!
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I never get sanctimonious or act like a know-it-all.  I'm very humble.  I learned that from saint Gibbs.
