1. Romey, I understand what Pat is saying. He's saying, and I'm using this deal as an example to illustrate the point, that if he were able to unload Burrell and Gordon in a package deal for Erik Bedard and Melvin Mora he has gotten better this year while also getting better for the future.

2. Goodbye, Sal. I didn't really hate him but I hated the worship of him by the clueless fans who just loved his goatee and mullet.

3. I was a Crazy Vicente fan. Still am too. Pat bought what the clueless front office told him about Padilla. They told him he was a headcase who drank too much and couldn't be in Philly anymore.

And I guaranteed Wheels jumped out from under Monty's desk to let Gillick know that Padilla was a "space cadet".
