Finally saw "Batman Begins" last night...great movie, as mentioned many times by others in this thread back when it came out. Enjoyed it far more than any of the Tim Burton versions, as it focused a bit more on story, less on being artsy.



No need for synopsis, I believe you've all seen it already. Set up nicely for the sequel.

Saw this over the weekend.  Way better than I was expecting...and way, way better than any of the others.

Monster.

Wasn't expecting much out of this. I mean who wants to watch a movie where Charlize Theron intentionally makes herself as ugly as possible? Plus the entire movie makes you dislike men. And being a man, this was not comfortable for me or my corkandnuts. But both Theron and Christina Ricci were excellent and the plot moves along nicely and keeps you interested throughout. However, the story is upsetting from beginning to end and there isn't a single thing about it that will make you feel good.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone will actually enjoy watching it, but it was a 4/5.

Oh yeah, I'm not sure how good this is, but I think it takes some sort of talent to make a love scene between Christina Ricci and Charlize Theron so remarkably unhot. It was kind of gross actually. Which sucked. But like I said, there's some sort of sick talent required to pull it off, so I guess that's a positive.

I agree, RJS.  Monster is the kind of film you watch once, and just stop thinking about as soon as possible.
