....and I know Im getting 30 solid minutes of entertainment too, unlike the 10 minutes of good action/drama, 50 minutes of pussifootin around in Sopranos

they've been replaying it at 8pm before Sopranos, last 2 episodes of last year, the ones shown last night, were simply awesome.

yea, 20 episodes for entourage. normal hbo number is 10-13. normal broadcast number is 22-24.

the first 12 will air over the next 12 weeks. the last 8 were supposed to air in january with the final 8 sopranos. but, now it appears the sopranos isnt coming back until march (they havent even started filming the last episodes, and have only 4 people under contract). that could change things with entourages schedule and the schedule for the rest of the shows.

on the bright side, deadwood is getting some kind of a season 4. milch played hardball, and instead of a 6 episode season to rap things up, he got 2 2hr movies to do it. which is basically 4 episodes. so...yea. deadwood will rap up, who knows when. but its not over after this.

I have a theory. Why has Julianna Margulies' character been so easy to contact, and conveniently around the key players in Tony's group? First, she approaches him about selling his building with a buyer who happens to have very deep and very open pockets? Then, she happens to be in Christopher's Anonymous meeting, talking about her event where she was drawn to (almost) sleeping with a dangerous guy? Man, is she ever so accessible.

She's a Fed...

(the main whole in my theory is the drug use. Sure she has to get close, but in real life the Feds do absolutely everything possible to avoid drug use, and then if they have to use, they are taken into detox and counseling almost right away. At least that's the way it was in Under and Alone: The True Story of the Undercover Agent Who Infiltrated America's Most Violent Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. But, it always works out in TV and movies that the cops get to use. So who knows?)

By the way -- that is a fantastic book.
