Ruiz has been awful at the plate, i was hoping he could be the catcher of the future, but so far, nope.

Ruiz and Fasano are so bad at the plate. It almost makes me want Lieberthal back for the fact that he was hitting the ball when he was here this year.  :paranoid

Yeah, he has been overmatched at the plate.

Did anyone catch what Hayes just said about Utley groaning a little bit? What was that all about? What would Utley be pissed about?

Hayes; "Everytime I have asked Bobby Abreu about leading off in the past 5 years he has said that he would do it if they asked him but he thought he was better suited for the 3 hole because he is an RBI guy and they haven't had any RBI guys".

Very

And Phreak, Hayes is a dipshtein, ignore him. His "facts" are as factual as Eckel's.

he's disgusting. The only thing worse than Hayes doing baseball is Bowen doing football and not hockey.

The Daily News is a disgrace like that.

I hate Marcus Hayes. And they have Mike Sielski on too. A double dose of dooshbags.

And the thing about Utley was that a reporter asked Utley if he would lead-off and he groaned about it.

So, does Utley come under fire like Bobby has now?

Just curious.

SunMo

i can't hear you, i'm walking out the door.

Utley probably groaned at the sheer ignorance of the question.

I agree with him.

Probably. Because the media here is obsessed with this leadoff thing.

But if that was Bobby and they said that, there'd be a ton of his detractors ripping him.

Of course there would be.  The reason Utley groaned has not been established yet and the turds on DNL are not going to take shots at Utley because of how popular he is.  As tough as most Philly writers act they really have no backbone.
