Are the eagles done looking for free agents?

Anyone have any thoughts on if the Eagles are set with the team or are they in talks with anyone trying to get a wideout, maybe a back or another position they're trying to fill before the season?

I think they are set.  Will have to see how some of the rookies and UDFA's look at camp.  Can always look again after the June 1st cuts, but I wouldn't anticipate any big moves.  There will always be camp injuries.

Realistically, getting Howard and the strong draft filled the major holes.

There were some published reports that the Eagles had called Denver about Ashley Lelie, but that the asking price was too high. I think it was Adam Schefter who reported it... so it probably means Lelie's agent told him to say it.

Don't expect much from the June 1 cuts anymore.  Teams have wised up to the cap structure.  Nowadays, they clean house before that date rolls around.

to get an idea of how awesome the June 1st cuts are, scouts.com had Paul Grasmanis as the top Dline prospect before he retired.

I was talking more about replacing camp injuries but I agree that June 1st isn't going to be a big bonanza.

I'd love to get Ty Law.  I can dream.  He's asking way too much and we are pretty good at CB.  Still throw a proven veteran Ty Law in the mix and good luck offenses.

No, but that never stopped anyone else from trying it.

Oh my god.  I just erased the big circle I had on June 1 in my day planner.

Offenses won't need good luck. Just throw at Law 10 times and you'll draw 5 pass intereference penalties. He was awful last year, don't let his gaudy INT numbers fool you. Didn't he lead the leauge in pass intereference penalties by a wide margin?
