Barber, Emmons, that retard in the middle. It'll be just like old times. I wonder what Blaine Bishop is doing these days ...

The man. The myth. The legend.

He'd also be good.  Which rules him out.  The only people at the Linc who like good linebackers are the fans, and maybe a few of the players.

Of course not.  The Eagles linebackers are like CEOs and all other overpaid good for nothings, they have a real low opinion of competition.

When thinking about McCoy, maybe Eagles fans should look back to 1998.  Similar circumstances.  A true Junior comes out of college.  Very young kid.  Plays linebacker at a small school.  Gets drafted on the first day by the Eagles.  Lots of hyperbole.  The kid is deactivated for the first half of the season.  His team is on it's way to a 3-13 record.  Fans wonder why the new kid isn't playing when the team sucks so badly.  He must suck even worse than what's out there.

Finally, the kid gets a chance on special teams.  He doesn't exactly set the world on fire.

Fans consider him a bust.  But the next year, 1999, the kid wins a starting job and goes on to become one of the team leaders and eventual probowl player.  His name was Jeremiah Trotter.

Don't give up on McCoy.  He was a true Junior who came out early.

Oh, he's the next Trotter? Well that's just farging great.

Good first post.

Shame any of it is a serious long shot to happen the same way.

Didn't say that.  Just noting the similar circumstances.  True Juniors often take a year or two to get used to the next level.  McCoy could still end up being a bust, but not after one year.  He was a beast at San Diego State.

When thinking about McCoy, maybe Eagles fans should look back to 1997.  Similar circumstances.  A true Junior comes out of college.  Very young kid.    Gets drafted on the first day by the Eagles.  Lots of hyperbole.  The kid is deactivated for the first half of the season.  His team is it's way to a 6-9-1 record.  Fans wonder why the new kid isn't playing when the team sucks so badly.  He must suck even worse than what's out there.

Finally, the kid gets a chance on special teams.  He doesn't exactly set the world on fire.

Fans consider him a bust.  But the next year, 1998, the kid still sucks and goes on to several other teams where he sucks even more and becomes a career special teamer.  His name was James Darling.

Give up on McCoy.  He was a true Junior who came out early.

When there is a pathology of losing, it is understandable to take the pessimistic view.  No problems.

We'll just have to wait and watch.  Nothing else most of us can do on Autumn Sundays except watch the birds.

I don't know anything else.

i like this game...here's mine...

There was this kid I grew up with - he was younger than me. Sorta looked up to me - you know. We did our first work together - worked our way out of the street. Things were good, we made the most of it. During Prohibition - we ran molasses into Canada - made a fortune - you father, too. As much as anyone, I loved him - and trusted him. Later on he had an idea - to build a city out of a desert stop-over for GI's on the way to the West Coast. That kid's name was Moe Green - and the city he invented was Las Vegas.

There once as a man from Nantucket

Whose dick was so long he could suck it

He said with a grin

As he wiped off his chin,

"If my ear were a c#%+ I would f@#* it!"
