HOW DO YOU PINCH HIT SAL FASANO FOR DAVID DELLUCCI? THIS IS A JOKE.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

I'd put Havas in there before I'd pinch hit Gonzalez or Fasano.

Wingspan

ruiz was pinch hit for...so he had to use fasano.

delucci is terrible anyway.

this is typical phils. get within 1 game and then completely fall apart. they'll drop 5 or 6 back and then go on another 7 game streak.

same ol' Phils...whenever they start to smell 1st place in either the division or wild card...they start to gag
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

which is why they will end up around .500 or a few games over if they are lucky....i know they are gonna lose more than they win now that they are playng real teams but i just wish they wouldnt lose in a choking dog manner so much...hopefully against the red sox theyll just get blown out the yard

IGY, you were talking about AlpineEagle earlier (the PBP guy). He has a prety serious health issue...

Anyways,

Today started off good, but that sonofabitch Madson is pissing me off. And it wasn't just him because it was the offense that took it in the ass again today. They started off good and then once they got a few runs they shut it down. Turnbow has made Utley look foolish two nights in a row. Chase goes up there looking for a 97mph fastball and Turnbow (who is one ugly sumbitch, by the way. He should be on GCobb's All Ugly Team) threw his junk and he chased.  Victorino barely missed going dead center on him. And the called third on Bobby was brutal. But at least Bobby has been swinging well the last two games.

So now we need Jimmy to get out of his funk. Charlie has been thinking about dropping him out of the 1 spot and I would bet there is a good chance that Victorino leads off this weekend.

Victornio
Utley
Abreu
Burrell
Howard
Rollins
Bell
Fasano/Ruiz

Going back to Madson...if there is a team out there who is willing to take him on his potential then I would consider trading him. Some team that is pitching starved like the DRays or Marlins might take him. And the Rays have a few guys who I would be interested in. The Marlins have DTrain and Cabrera, but Madson would only be part of a package there.

This is similar to what they did last year...have a hot streak and then piss it away by going completely in the tank. Remember last year after te 12-1 homestand they went out west and shtein the bed against the M's and A's?

And why is the NL Central killing them? Other than the Reds sweep, they have been swept by the Cards and Brewers and lost 2/3 from PIT.

Man, Phillie fans are so bipolar.

I was reading some posts on the other boards and they are being ripped like they are the Royals. People saying big trouble is brewing and stuff like that. Oh, and Bobby is being torn apart for K'ing in the 9th. Even though it was ball 4, he's being blasted.

Last night he helps bring them back. Today he K's looking after Utley K's looking terrible and Bobby is getting blasted.

Good stuff by people who think baseball seasons are 16 games and not 162.

Myers has turned into what we all hoped he would

what?

after all the coddling, and waiting...so all we ever hoped from myers was for him to turn out to be an overemotional pitcher who has consistancy problems?

He wasn't exactly coddled. He was brought up pretty quickly. He was 21 when he made his debut in 2001. And he has had 3 straight seasons of double digit wins.

So what if he is overemotional? He's young! And he's getting better at controlling himself.

And where are these consistency problems you speak of?

Please.
