1. Lieber was perfect in 5 innings. He should've only given up 2 runs. Sal Fasano's brain fart cost them two more and possibly the game.

But hey, Sal is a gritty overachieving do-gooder who gets dirty so he gets free passes in Philadelphia, right?

2. Pat Burrell is a dumb hitter. 4 pitch BB to Bobby and this bum hacks on the 1st pitch. Great job, Patricia.

3. Rowand's catch in the 1st was sweet.

4. Chase and Howard are still struggling. And the entire team is struggling against LHP.

5. This team is fundamentally stupid.

6. I am fundamentally stupid for watching this steaming hot trash.

Fortunately, I was not watching the game until the last two innings because I was watching a movie with my family.

Also,

Cole Hamels needs to be fast tracked. And Gio Gonzalez too. Bring up Hamels now. Then see if Gonzalez continues to kill AA. If he does, then he goes to AAA for 3-4 starts. If he does well there? The show, baby.

Then you move Madson back to his 7th inning role.

And if Floyd doesn't get right, you put Gonzalez in his spot.

Question:

Why is Cole Hamels back on the Clearwater Roster?  Is it injury rehab still?  Hard to believe he'd need to be in A-ball otherwise.

They wanted him in warm weather because of his back. The chilly spring nights in Reading/Scranton is something they didn;t want to put him in.

But its time.

you cant really blame this one player. its a total team effort. im not sure if trading abreu or something will make things good. firing manuel isnt gonna accomplish anything. i hate to say it, but really the best option (unless some killer trade comes along) is to just this be and hope it works out. i know it kills me, but they got so much money tied up in the big guys thats its nearly impossible to change the general make up of this team.
