The Eagles will spend big bucks on players in FA who they think can make a big-bucks difference. Clearly, they didn't see many of those players in the market this year. Let me also assure you that Andy and Tom and Jim Johnson and the coaches get what they want. If Andy wanted to sign 20 free agents, he would have been able to.

With a bunch of players returning from injury, with six draft picks in the first four rounds, with cap room left should somebody still come free, the Eagles believe they are positioned very, very well. Obviously, the proof will be in the wins and losses. I can't sit here in March and tell you what the Eagles record will be.

Your constant whining is really disappointing. You show an obvious lack of faith in Andy and in Tom and in the Eagles way of doing things. I know everybody is upset that the team has not won a Super Bowl, but let me assure you that nobody out there is more disappointed than the people in here.

Andy defers to Joe if need be in times of cap management. I think they all agree that spending huge dollars in free agency is viable only when a big-time target is there. Is Randle-El a big-time player? No. He's a good player, but the Eagles think they can get good players at WR -- and they do think Gaffney is a good player, too -- in other ways.
