true but Mcnabb was hurt in preseason. I agree i'm all for gettin a TE in the draft like a Byrd from SC. Sign Schobel but make sure the deal is front loaded.

I was thinking that Schobel wouldn't be place holder here, because they would rather have a more qualified guy out there for fake field goals and stuff, but the more I thought about it, he's probably has a better arm and is more accurate than Detmer.

So maybe he will be our holder.

NFL.com has him listed as the backup, but he had more receptions and a higher YPC than the stater.

The last two days he has been on the verge of a meltdown.

Sunday's show was classic. He was pissed that ARE went to Washington and yesterday he kept saying "what will teh Eagles do with all of this money..they have to spend it, right?"

Again, the thing that's telling to me is that they didn't give Howard all of his up-front money as a roster bonus. If they seriously didn't plan on using their 2006 cap room, then why prorate that money, when you can have it all hit in 2006? After all, it's the same $$$ to Howard and the same $$$ from Lurie either way.

I just don't get it. They could have taken a $10.5m cap hit for Howard, but they took less than $4m. WTF?

He's a solid #2 TE which Spach wasn't and Chad couldn't be anymore.
