who the hell is Chris McPhereson?

He's Spadaro's underling... a researcher/writer for the Eagles site.

Rome

Eagles PR dude...

He'd be Dick Cheney to Spadaro's Dubya.

;)

That's an excellent analogy.  Chris does a lot more of the research.  Only, Dave's ear is probably closer to "inside" information than Cheney's is.

I would love it if McPherson was talking about Walker, though.  That would make the taterskins acquisition of Brandon Lloyd very, very small.

If the Eagles got Javon Walker, I'd likely experience pre-ejaculatory leakage over it.

Screw that.  I'd pull up some Alba pics and get the whole job done.

Then again... why wait?

I have a tiny...  hangover today.

I'm not in the mood for Jessica at the moment.   A buddy of mine got a 'scrip for 50 Vicodins and he gave me 10 of them so the hangover shouldn't last much longer.

is a public board a good place to post that? :-X ....although 10 V's should easily cure yesterday's FA headache.

Darren Howard's In For A Visit Today - Spadaro

I hope Howard gets done today. He'd give this D some options.

howards agent or whoever the first big guy they sign is going to absolutely rape the eagles cause they know they are so desperate to save face right now

You'd think so, but since when does the Eagles front office feel it has to answer to public opinion?

QuoteI know you guys want to see the Eagles add a receiver. I don't know anything 100 percent, but I think the Eagles will add a receiver (not one who suited up in 2005). I got that feeling.

If Schobel is signed...that's one more need the Eagles can eliminate.

Quote from Chris McPherson's Blog... take it for what it is

Ummm... so, he's simply talking about a draft pick? The only other guy that could mean would be Javon Walker, but he suited up, albeit briefly, in 2005.

Walker would certainly brighten my outlook on the off-season.

I know of 1 WR the Eagles are interested in drafting, but I promised a certain someone I wouldn't repeat it. I'm sure you can figure out who it is if you don't already know.

Good morning, fellas. Have a good night dreaming about free agency?

1. I'm not even going to get all excited about Howard. Even though I want him here, yesterday taught me a lesson.

2. They need to stop talking to Saints players:

Fred Thomas = yeah, I'll sign...then he bolts out of town
LeCharles Bentley = nah, I never said anything about Philly.
Darren Howard = ??

I sure hope they sign Darren Howard though. He would be a nice addition...

The fact that you know it probably means about 75% of us here have heard it too  :D

Sure, but that guy or another similar player would only supplant McMullen on the depth chart and give them more options for the future.  They need a guy who can come in and start opposite Brown now.

Patriots | Givens has not re-signed
Sun, 12 Mar 2006 06:43:47 -0800

Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports agent Brad Blank said a Houston Chronicle report saying free agent WR David Givens (Patriots) has re-signed with the New England Patriots was erroneous. Blank said "anything is possible" at this stage. This is the second erroneous report this weekend involving a Givens signing.
