Macnow said when he was on with Ant and Mike that the reason they got Gautier is because they do not want Randy Jones being the last defenseman in the playoffs. And he said they are still unsure about Johnsson.

He rates pretty low on the "meh" scale.

we know who the Flyers #1 goalie is...Nitty!   Esche is still an NHL starter, but Nitty will be the playoff starter.  Both will see action (equally) thru the rest of the season.

Gauthier is a better option than Randy Jones but Sandis Olzilish? was picked up by the Rangers for only one 3rd rounder.  I would take him over Rathje anyday.  Most of the prices were too high today so i dont blame Clarke and 2 second rounders is alot but it was a move the flyers needed to make.
