Quote"What is the state of the Eagles' locker room? I've heard that question a lot recently, and I'm going to be honest with you: I think it's going to be fine. I think Donovan McNabb was frustrated at everyone in the media, the fans, questioning how he handled the challenges of this past season and that's why he spoke out.

"So he responded. I have respect for Donovan. So much respect. It was his decision to speak out, but I'd rather leave that situation in the past. I don't think it does the team or Donovan any good to keep talking about last year and Terrell Owens, so I hope that is the last time we hear about it. It was crazy last year. I don't want to pay him any more attention. It's over with.

The Eagles need their QB to be confident, says Brown

"I'll approach Donovan the way I always do. I don't think there is any need to talk about the situation. If Donovan feels there are players who think didn't have his back last year, maybe he'll talk to those guys. I know for sure Donovan doesn't feel that way about me and I know for sure how I felt about the situation. It wasn't a Donovan vs. T.O. thing, so let's put that to rest.

"If you're a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, you understand that Donovan McNabb is the quarterback of the football team. We need him to have all the confidence in the world. We need him to perform at his very best for us to go where we want to go. I don't know what gave him the impression that we weren't in his corner, but I can tell you that the team believes in Donovan.

"The best way for this locker room to come together is to compete together and win games. That's the way it works in every locker room. When you have success, you grow together. Every player has to bust his butt in the off-season, bust his butt in training camp and then win games in the regular season. When you win games, all of this is forgotten.

"That's the bottom line, so I'm done talking about the past. I get paid to win games, so it is all about looking ahead for me.

"Now, at the same time, my focus is on rest and relaxation right now. I'm going to have my shoulder fixed next week and then I'll have a lot of rehab to do. Our off-season conditioning program starts on March 20 -- the day after my birthday, by the way (I'm born the same date as Coach Reid, too!) -- and that's when I'll really step it up as far as conditioning and getting myself mentally right for next season.

"Look, I know the media are going to try to talk to me about last year. I'm going to say what I just said. If we don't focus on last year, we're going to have a lot of trouble this year. So it's over. I want to win the Super Bowl this year. That is all that matters to me with this football team.

"I watched the Super Bowl on Sunday and wasn't all that impressed. It was a good defensive game, especially from a defensive standpoint. It didn't seem very exciting. There was something missing. The Eagles, mainly! But I watched it as a football fan and I'm sure they are going crazy in Pittsburgh. I want to experience that feeling. That is the motivation you need to take with you every day. We're here to win, and at the end of the season only one team is happy. The other 31 teams feel they didn't accomplish their goal."

Brilliant!

Zanshin

He's the cornerback that didn't suck as much as Lito last year.  One of them, anyway.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I didn't think it was a defensive struggle at all.  I thought both teams simply sucked ass and the game overall was a crashing bore.
